Owned by the Dogliani family, Beni di Batasiolo is one of the largest privately owned wineries located in the prestigious
Langhe-Barolo region of Piemonte. It owns 9 of the best vineyards within the region which cover an area of over 100
hectares of vines, 60 of which are planted with the Nebbiolo variety used to make Barolo.
The Batasiolo estate produces all the celebrated red wines of the region including Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera and Dolcetto
as well as white wines such as Gavi, Arneis, and Moscato d’Asti. The flagship wines of Batasiolo are the single vineyards
and notably the Barolos.
Batasiolo has 4 single vineyard Barolos: Bofani, Boscareto, Cerequio and La Corda della Briccolina, all different in style,
typical to the characteristics of the vineyard of origin. Their wines are appreciated throughout the world and are the perfect
ambassadors to their country of origin.

The Pio Cesare winery was founded in 1881 by Cesare Pio. For five generations, the Pio Cesare family has been producing
traditional Piemontese wines in its ancient cellars, located in the heart of the town of Alba.
Pio Cesare owns more than 50 hectares of vineyards, located in the most highly rated and better exposed ares of the Langhe
region. Within the Barolo region, the ‘Ornato’ Estate and the ‘Colombaro’ Vineyard (in Serralunga d’Alba), the ‘Gustava’
Estate (in Grinzane Cavour), the ‘Roncaglie’ (in La Morra) and ‘Ravera’ (in Barolo-Novello).
Within the Barbaresco territory, the ‘Il Bricco’ Estate and the ‘San Stefanetto’ Vineyards in Treiso. In addition to their
own vineyards, Pio Cesare has fostered long-term relationships with growers for several generations who sell their grapes
to the family.
The origins of the Damilano farming company date back to over a century ago, when Giuseppe Borgogno, the
greatgrandfather of the current owners, started to grow and make wine from his own grapes. The vineyards are situated
in the most Crus of the Langhe region: Cannubi, Fossati and Brunate.

I CLASSICI VINI VERONESI
Veneto - Italy
Pico Maccario estates are well known for being specialist producers of Barbera. Located in Mombaruzzo, a municipality
of Italy’s Piedmont region situated within the ASTI DOCG.
The estate is the largest solely owned vineyard in Piedmont and is run by the Maccario brothers Pico and Vitaliano.
Pico handling production of the wines and Vitaliano attending to commercial matters.
The estate has invested in modern, state-of-the-art technology to assure quality in all phases of production techniques.
This exquisite, family owned Veronese cellar, dates back to 1811 when the famous architect Andrea Palladio built the
classical villa that has, over time, become the centre piece of the winery, symbolising the excellence of Santa Sofia wines.
The combination of centuries old stone cellars and modern vineyard management reflect in wines of great expression and
quality, rightly justifying Santa Sofia’s ranking as one of Valpolicella’s finest wineries.

Casa Vinicola Santi, established in 1843 by Carlo Santi, is rooted in the Verona region. The winery is located in a
magnificent valley surrounded by the Lessini Mountains. It has 70 hectares of vineyards, 40 of which are in Valpolicella
Classico and the rest in the Bardolino and Soave areas. Santi has merged tradition with innovation and has brought high
levels of quality to the classic wines of the region such as Soave, Valpolicella, Amarone and Bardolino.
Aspiring to excellence, owners Gaetano and Pio Francesco Tamellini have earned the estate an outstanding reputation as
one of only two-dozen, estate-bottled growers and producers of authentic Soave. With the assistance of Paolo Caciorgna,
one of Italy’s most accomplished white winemakers, the metamorphosis from supplier to producer began in 1998. Less than
10 years later, Tamellini’s Soave has become one of the world’s most enjoyable white wines.

At 80 km from Venice to the Dolomites, we can find two charming Venetian cities, Conegliano and Valdobbiadene,
united by a wonderful hill covered by vineyards candidates to become Unesco heritage.
Among these hills, the farm Le Manzane produces its own wines in San Pietro di Feletto territory, which boasts a very
beautiful Parish Church of the 12th century that definitely merits a visit.
Cantina Bolzano came into being as a result of two historic wineries (Gries and S. Maddalena) joining forces, both of
whom reflect the great tradition of winemaking in Bolzano.
Two hundred growers cultivate around three hundred hectares of land on the slopes around S. Maddalena and on the
alluvial land of the Lagrein region of Bolzano-Gries.
Scrupulous quality management from cultivation right through to bottling guarantees high quality white and red wines
that are a perfect expression of their origins. The assortment of products ranges from classic varietal wines to exquisite
selections that are regularly among the best Italian vintages at domestic and international tastings.

Foss Marai is recognised in Italy and around the world for the quality of their wines and pure elegance of their bottles. The
company was founded by Luigi Biasiotto in the early 20th century located in Guia di Valdobbiadene, a village surrounded
by steep hills covered with Prosecco vineyards.
The sparkling wine he produced soon became appreciated beyond the local area of production. The business is now run
by his grand-son, Carlo Biasiotto, his family and a trusted team who all share a great passion for making outstanding

Azienda Fratelli Pighin was founded in 1963 when brothers Ercole, Luigi and Fernando Pighin, acquired a 500 acre
estate in the D.O.C. Grave del Friuli area then belonging to a local aristocratic family. Since then Pighin have produced
exceptionally fine wines in limited quantities from two different areas: The Risano vineyard in the Grave del Friuli area
and the Capriva vineyard in the Collio area. These are by general consent recognised to be among the finest viticultural
areas for white wines in Italy.
Fabio Coser has been producing excellent wines in one of the highest areas in Collio for more than twenty years. Ronco
dei Tassi dominates the hilly area east of Cormons and its wines combine the great power of the white wines of the area
with an input of acidity that enriches them with a tense and elegant balance. For the Red wines, particularly great is the
international blended Cjarandon.

Every bottle of Donelli contains the story of a territory, of a family and its passion, and with every glass, one perceives the
priceless pleasure of tasting the fruit of its age-old tradition.
The skilful vinification techniques used are the inimitable result of experience refined over the centuries by generations of
winemakers who have always pursued the same mission: the creation of high quality wines.
In 1705 the wealthy entrepreneurial family of Melini founded the House of Melini at Pontassieve on the outskirts of
Florence and since then it has become famous for producing wines of high repute. In 1865 Adolfo Laborel Melini created
the wicker flask and thanks to him the merits of Tuscan wines came to be appreciated world wide.
In 1877 the Chamber of Commerce & Arts in Florence, awarded a Diploma and a gold medal to Melini for ‘having
secured the most extensive market for Tuscan wines abroad’. This confirmed that Melini had established an excellent
reputation and to this day remains one of the biggest selling brands in the world.
During the 20th century, the winery was rebuilt in the Chianti Classico Area in Gaggiano di Poggibonsi in the province
of Siena where it remains to this day.

Il Molino di Grace which translates as Windmill of Grace is located in the heart of Tuscany’s prestigious Chianti Classico
region. The vineyard produces critically acclaimed Tuscan wines that are true to both tradition and terroir.
The winery is named after the Grace family and the historic 19th century windmill located on the property, anchored by
the bold sculpture standing tall in front of the cantina which is also used on the illustrated Il Molino di Grace logo.
414 is the number given to the farm during the land reform in the 60’s by the historical “Ente Maremma” during the
splitting of the latifundium and the redistribution of the land lots to the “assignee” families. In 1998 a walk along Maremma’s
countryside together with the father Maurizio, a famous Tuscan enologist, and the grandfather Giuseppe, in search of an ideal
place for a wine farm gave birth to a simple and strong idea of creating Podere 414. The total territory of 49 hectares, 22 of
which are dedicated to the vineyard, is situated mostly on the ridge hills in front of the small town of Montiano. That is the
beginning of the history of Simone Castelli, a university graduate in agricultural sciences. Today, 15 years since the beginning
of this adventure, his Morellino, the only wine being produced, occupies a prestigious place in the modern Tuscan enology.

and well defined personality rotates around its smoothness.

At the end of nineteenth century, the estate of Corbara became property of the Banca Romana. In 1889/90 the bank
financed excavations that brought to light the Roman port of Pagliano, in opus reticulatum, located at the confluence of
the two rivers named above. this archaeological site gained great importance, in history, for commercial and economic
relations between Rome and the immediate hinterland.
Thanks to continuing studies, protection and restoration of the structures this site can now be visited.
The Azienda Agricola Castello di Corbara as it is now mirrors faithfully the new comprehensive program of the entire
range of activities whole-heartedly undertaken by the entrepreneurial group that bought the property in 1997. The
underlying concepts of this new management include the inherent need to salvage values such as the respect of the territory,
whose authenticity is always reflected by every single wine produced.
Cantina Cerquetta sits at the heart of the prestigious region for the production of high quality Frascati. The winery has
been in the Ciuffa family since 1793 and has become a leading producer among Frascati. Great terroir matched to
contemporary wine making techniques including a modern vinification and bottling facility and sophisticated oenological
equipment, combine to create Cantina Cerquetta’s great wines.

Since the mid-nineteenth century this winery has represented Marches wine culture. A long story of success and commitment,
rewarded with a gold medal for hard work and economic progress by the Ancona Chamber of Commerce in 1959.
The historic iconic multi-awarded Podium has been joined in 2012 by another great expression of Verdicchio: the Selezione
Gioacchino Garofoli awarded in the TOP 50 Best Italian Wines by the Financial Magazine Il Sole 24 ore.
At the end of the last century Nicola Illuminati founded the winery known as Nicó Farm. Today Dino Illuminati shares
his grandfather’s passion employing the same skilled craftsmanship and together with his family cultivates 110 hectares of
vineyards stretching from the Adriatic Sea to the Gran Sasso Mountain.
The names and the origins of their wines are all linked to their native land, to the family, the famers and the history of the
company. These wines have an extraordinary body, fruit of a rich and generous land, that of Abruzzo. Illuminati wines
have reached the most prestigious tables around the world and are appreciated by wine experts.

Mastroberardino family has been involved in the socio-cultural context of winemaking for three centuries. The family’s
holdings are spread across several parts of Irpinia, in the areas which have historically proved to be the centre of production
of the great wines of the region. There is so much history in the wines produced. The ancient vines of Aglianico, Greco and
Fiano di Avellino have been rescued from extinction and the spotting of their cultivation areas after the Second World War
and their vinification as single-variety wines are Mastroberardino’s masterpiece.

In the early 1900s Giuseppe de Corato acquired the vast Rivera estate, in the territory of Andria, and planted it to vines,
olives, and grain. Fifty years later, his son Sebastiano founded the Azienda Vinicola Rivera, and committed to increasing
the value of the viticultural potential of the Castel del Monte area, a tradition that was later carried on by his son Carlo.
The old cellar was renovated, the vineyards replanted, the most up-to-date practices adopted, and high-quality wine was
the result. Widespread recognition quickly followed, and Rivera became the benchmark of Apulian wine production and
the force driving its rebirth. The entry into Rivera of Carlo’s sons, Sebastiano and Marco, signalled a rededication to its
values, in a dynamic, and sharply-focused approach to the market, with emphasis falling on developing the area’s native
varieties, in order to produce wines of significant quality and distinctiveness, wines that would reflect all the colours, scents
and flavours that make up the land of Apulia.
In 1824, Giuseppe Alliata, Duke of Salaparuta, decided to vinify his grapes from his own district in Casteldaccia called
‘Corvo’. The wine was originally intended for the Duke’s prestigious international guests. Led by his passion, Giuseppe
went on to build his own winery and his son Edoardo turned his passion into a successful wine business. Since then,
Duca di Salaparuta, is a synonym for aristocratic, strongly traditional, elegant and refined wines, reflecting the most
distinctive qualities of their area of origin. Their philosophy is to produce premium wines that firmly express their Sicilian
geographical origin.

Giuseppe Russo, a trained pianist with a degree in Italian literature, manages the family estate since 2004 and bottles
Etna Rosso in three different versions (the first released vintage was 2005). The vineyards extend for 15 hectares and stand
in three districts (contrade): S. Lorenzo (8 hectares, 750-780 meters altitude), Feudo (6 hectares, 650-670 m altitude)
and Feudo di Mezzo (1 hectare at 700 meters altitude). Furthermore, Giuseppe manages 1 hectare in the Calderara
Sottana district. For the production of his wines, Giuseppe follows the same method as when he used to study the piano:
extreme attention to details, but always keeping in mind the final result. The estate is certified organic.
Giovanni Cherchi has been making wine in Sardinia since 1970. Giovanni was influential to the fame of Vermentino di
Sardegna spreading beyond the boundaries of the region. His experiments in winemaking techniques, such as leaving the
wines on lees, resulted in richer and more complex wines. Nowadays Giovanni still oversees the work in the wineyard and
winry all hough the torch has now passed to his children, Salvatore and Annalisa who remained faithful to the indigenous
grape varieties so loved by Giovanni. The 30 hectare estate is located on the hills in Usini, northwest of Sardegna, planted
out with 55% Vermentino and the balance with Cannonau and Cagnulari.

Piero Mancini has been cultivating his passion for wine-making since 1965 when he planted his first vineyard. The company
now owns over 100 hectares of land in 3 areas around Gallura called ‘Cucaione’, ‘Montelittu’ and ‘Balaiana’. In 1989, he
inaugurated a modern wine cellar, where the most advanced wine-making techniques are perfectly combined with respect to
tradition. His Vermentino Cucaione from Gallura is a DOCG and the wine has become a synonym for Vermentino world-wide.

GRANDI MARCHI
“The members of the Istituto Del Vino Italiano di Qualita` Grandi Marchi, together share 3,000 years of excellence
of Italian wine history. It unites wineries and families which have remarkable influenced the tradition of the Italian
oenology and have set the roots for more innovative wine making approaches. Mondial Wine proudly supports Grandi
Marchi by promoting their wine culture and commercialising four of the most historic wineries of the group, wineries
which do represent a benchmark for the winemaking excellence of their regions”.
32
The Pio Cesare winery was founded in 1881 by Cesare Pio. For five generations, the Pio Cesare family has been
producing traditional Piemontese wines in its ancient cellar, located in the heart of the town of Alba. The winery’s
dedication to quality and respect for tradition and terroir, has allowed Pio Cesare to reach a prominent position
among the wine producers of Piemonte.
The production is intentionally limited in order to maintain their high quality. Year after year, the wines are ranked
among the world`s best.
The Mastroberardino Family has been involved in the socio-cultural context of wine-making for three centuries
and it represents one of the few producers in the rarefied echelons of excellence that have written a fundamental
chapter in the history of Italian Winemaking.
Mastroberardino’s name equals to authentic culture of wine and the winery is universally acknowledged to have
been the most important guardian of the vinous Heritage of Irpinia protecting the virtues of Campania’s traditional
grape varieties.
The founder, Giorgio Lungarotti, was a pioneer of modern Italian oenology and he was the man whose commitment
to the great potential of Umbria as wine region, put Umbria on the world map in the 60`s.
The company maintains a strong family imprint and today Giorgio’s daughters, Chiara Lungarotti and Teresa
Severini run the 250 hectares of vineyards in Torgiano and Montefalco, while his wife Maria Grazia Lungarotti
successfully heads and manages the Lungarotti foundation which comprises the Oil Museum and the Wine
Museum in Torgiano which has been ranked by the New York Times among the best Wine Museums of the
World.
The De Corato family has deep roots in the agriculture of Puglia and more precisely where the hills of the Alta
Murgia slope gently towards the sea. The estate was founded in the early 1950`s by Sebastiano De Corato who
was inspired by a vision of realising and bringing to the world`s attention the enormous viticulture potential of the
Castel del Monte area.
With the involvement of the third generation of the family with Carlo’s son Sebastiano, Rivera continues with new
energy in the production of wines that are true to their wonderful land.

Mineral water
Piedmont - Italy
Italian Grappe
Style and substance combine to reveal a mineral water that flows from the Sparea
Alpine Spring at Luserna San Giovanni. A very light and pure mineral water, Sparea is
recognisable by its refreshing flavour and sophisticated bottle design. A water to savour,
which will add prestige to any table and will satisfy the most demanding of palates.
Sibona’s grappas reach high quality levels thanks to accurate distillation, constant updating and
improvement of the equipment, the experience of two expert oenologists and a long ageing period in
barrels, which renders the grappas not only soft and pleasant but also more complex and aromatised.

Italian Grappe
Batasiolo’s grappas are obtained from the distillation of fresh grape seeds through batch distillation.
The taste is full and dry with a good body and with a bouquet which expresses the soul of the vine.
Piedmont - Italy
Since 1847, Rossi d’Angera have been distilling marcs - namely, what is left after the grapes have
been pressed for wine-making and it can only be called Grappa when is it Italian. The art of
separating the heads from the tails ensures that the ‘heart’ is extracted.

Italian Spirits and Liqueurs
Campania/Veneto - Italy
According to an old legend, Benevento is the place where witches from all over the world meet. It is
here that in 1860 Giuseppe Alberti after having worked for many years as a successful wine trader
decided to open a distillery making a liqueur initially made by the infusion of only one herbal
ingredient following a recipe obtained from local monks. With the help of his father, who was well
versed in herbal lore tried to better the original recipe. Young Alberti, aware of the popular interest and fascination
around the legend of the Benevento Witches and their magic love potion, which was supposed to unite the couples who
drank it forever decided to call his liqueur Strega (Witch) which to this day it is still linked to the ancient legend and to
its mysterious origins. At any moment only two people know the original recipe that has been carefully handed down for
generations from father to son. Strega is probably the oldest Italian liqueur to be known world-wide. The company is still
owned and managed by the Alberti family now in its sixth generation since its foundation.
Italian Spirits and Liqueurs
The secrets of distilling this brandy were closely guarded by the descendants of the Medicis until they
were passed on to the master distiller, Jean Buton, whose family formed the first great Italian distilling
company in 1820.
Distilled from prized grapes, Vecchia Romagna is an unmistakable brandy. Long aging partly in small
oaken casks and the recipe of an expert, give it a strong, dry taste, an aromatic, complex fragrance, and
a warm, intense colour. It is known and appreciated the world over for its finest quality and exclusive triangular bottle.
Vecchia Romagna is linked to the Italian way of life and to the unique cultural heritage.

Production of Gagliano liqueurs, established by Mr. Salvatore Gagliano, began
in Palermo in 1870. The business was expanded by his son Ercole who relocated
to the Verona area to drive the creation of liqueurs and distillates.
Experimentation in the chemical processes of fermentation, the construction of
new plants and research in the countryside of the island aiming to understand the secrets of past Sicilian distillers are
just some of the factors which have led to Gagliano’s success. In 1986 the Gagliano brand was taken over by Marcati: a
successful match with its production premises in Sommacampagna.

Casa Vinicola Canella was established in September 1947 by Luciano Canella, who is still at the
helm today, flanked by his four children, Alessandra, Lorenzo, Nicoletta and Monica.
Luciano Canella’s parents owned a small, family-style restaurant in San Donà di Piave (30 km
- just under 19 miles - northeast of Venice) and Luciano was in charge of wine supplies. Upon discovering his interest
in fine wine, he concentrated on recognising quality and increasingly specialized in enological issues. Thanks to his
passion for winemaking innovations and new bottling technology, he has always been abreast of the latest developments.
From the very beginning, Luciano Canella gave great importance to the image that was conveyed. His bottles boasted
elegant labels and drip rings, new shapes, special designs.
