Exterior
The Volkswagen Passat sets new benchmarks for design in both sedan and wagon variants.
A longer wheelbase and shorter front and rear overhangs contribute to a more raked
silhouette, creating a road presence that is at once lithe and dynamic.

Trapezoidal headlights and tail lights connect via a bold shoulder line that sweeps across
the wheel arches, incorporating the door handles and adding elegance to the Passat’s stance.
While the roofline falls gracefully towards the rear in both models, that shoulder edge
holds firm, visually stretching the car to generate an impression of speed and athleticism.
From the front, that unmistakeably Volkswagen face takes a convincing evolutionary step,
with angular front fog lights fitting harmoniously into the Comfortline and Highline's
progressive design ethic.
Available with the optional Luxury package, LED headlights not only look impressive, but
feature sophisticated technology, with separate daytime running lights bolstered by static
cornering lights on Comfortline and Highline models. The Passat’s distinctive tail light
signature—composed of a waveguide contour augmented by two horizontal lines of LED
light modules—defines functionality at its most stunning.
Passat styling reaches its pinnacle with the optional R-Line Package, with R-Line styled front
bumper and grille, side sills and rear bumper as well as lowered (by 15mm) Sports suspension,
eye-catching 19" Verona alloy wheels, dark tinted rear side and rear window glass and a
distinctive R-Line radiator grille and R-Line logo.
Engineering and design merge seamlessly in the Volkswagen Passat. This is functionality at
its most stunning: sleek, stylish and dynamic.

Interior
The Passat's extensively redesigned interior features a host of equipment and premium
details to present new levels of comfort, convenience and functionality.
A new multi-function steering wheel provides intuitive control of both drive settings and
multimedia interface, while an ergonomically focused driving position puts all controls at
your fingertips at any time.
With a central analogue clock, a dash panel that slopes sharply downwards, and touches of
chrome and leather, the Passat brings a premium style that was once the preserve of luxury
saloons. With surprising space and functionality in the back—whether in sedan or wagon—
the Passat’s superior comfort levels keep pace with its expanded luggage capacity.

Three-zone automatic climate control with wide air-band nozzles allows the driver,
front passenger and rear passengers to set their own preferred temperature independently.
At the same time, an enhanced air filtration system improves cabin air quality, reducing dust
and pollen.

Highlights
The state-of-the-art 6.5" Discover Media navigation system comes
standard in the 132TSI Passat. In the Comfortline and Highline models
the Passat receives the impressive 8" Discover Pro navigation system.
No matter which navigation system is fitted, all Passat models now feature
innovative App-Connect technology for added integration of car and
phone. App-Connect works by allowing selected smartphone apps to be
easily displayed and operated via the Passat’s infotainment touchscreen.
Your phone connects via your genuine charging cable which plugs into the
to the car's USB port enabling a range of apps on your Apple® and
Android™ smartphone device immediately at your fingertips.
It’s instinctively clever, too. When you reach towards the screen, a
proximity sensor recognises in advance your intention to provide input and
automatically magnifies the display. Enhancing the system’s intuitive
interface further is the optional 'rubber band function', available on
Discover Pro, which allows you to scroll ahead along your planned route,
varying your path by touching a point on the screen with your finger.
If you’d rather not use the touchscreen, voice activation is available on
Comfortline & Highline models and allows you to control everything by
spoken command, whether phone, infotainment or sat nav.

And no longer must you adapt your driving style to your car – instead,
Driving Profile Selection^ in selected models or as part of an options
package allows you to modify throttle response to deliver the driving

Technology and Safety
Smart, intelligent and capable, the Passat is a car made for sophisticated drivers who
delight in innovative technology.
It begins with the drivetrain. Every trip in your Passat, whether short or long, is a pleasure
courtesy of the powerful and refined range of turbocharged TSI & TDI engines, that work
perfectly in tandem with the Passat’s responsive Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) to ensure
smooth delivery of power to the road surface.
BlueMotion Technologies in every Passat, such as Brake Energy Recuperation and engine
Stop/Start system help you travel further on one tank of fuel. Among the other safety
and driver assistance systems that come as standard are Driver Fatigue Detection*,
Multi-Collision Brake, Rear View Camera (RVC Plus*) and front & rear parking distance sensors.
Both Comfortline & Highline models have additional safety equipment as standard that
include Front Assist with City Emergency Brake* (City EB), Side Assist*, Lane Assist* and
Rear Traffic Alert*. Front Assist with City Emergency Brake (City EB) uses a radar sensor
integrated into the front of the vehicle to monitor traffic ahead. When a critical situation
arises, the driver receives a visual and audible warning, and brakes are automatically
applied if no action is taken. Side Assist detects vehicles that may be hidden in blind spots
when changing lanes, and Lane Assist monitors the path ahead, recognising road markings
and reacting should the Passat wander from its lane at over 65km/h. If you’re reversing
from a parking space into traffic, Rear Traffic Alert will sound an alarm if an unseen
vehicleapproaches from the side. These features are also available on the 132TSI as part
of the optional Driver Assistance package.

It’s easy to configure an appealing paint and upholstery combination
for your Passat. One of seven exterior paint options can be selected,
including five metallic ranging from Pure White to Deep Black Pearl Effect.
A quality Black Cloth upholstery is standard for the Passat 132TSI,
while the 132TSI Comfortline model receives Black Vienna leather
appointed upholstery* and the 140TDI Highline model offers a choice of
St Tropez Nappa leather appointed upholstery* or Black Nappa leather
appointed upholstery*.
