On the shores of Nimpo Lake approximately ½ mile from Highway 20, 300km west of Williams

DIRECTIONS
Nimpo Lake is a 3 hour drive west of Williams Lake on Highway 20 toward Bella Coola, the road is
paved all the way. The turn off to Wilderness Rim Resort is approximately 1 mile south of the community of Nimpo Lake. It is well marked by a sign beside the highway.
Wilderness Rim Resort is accessible by floatplane right to the dock, and there is an airstrip with
daily scheduled flights to nearby Anahim Lake.

The spectacular hand crafted hand peeled Pioneer Log Home has been custom designed with
many outstanding features. The magnificent logs used in the great room and main staircase create
a grand central feature on the main floor of the home.
The main living portion of the home is approximately 2,000 square feet with 3 bedrooms, 3 ½ bathrooms, recreation room, office and large great room. The modern open kitchen features large pantry and adjacent mud room entrance. One end of this building accommodates the resort office,
kitchen and washrooms on the ground floor, and a 2 bedroom suite on the upper level. This portion
of the home building would be 1/3 ownership.
Wilderness Rim Resort is located on 20.44 acres on the east shore of Nimpo Lake in some of the
most spectacular country in British Columbia. Nimpo Lake sits on the Chilcotin Plateau surrounded
by the Coastal, Itcha, and Ulgatcho mountains and is within driving distance of Tweedsmuir Park.
Nimpo Lake offers Rainbow Trout to five pounds, May through October. Trolling is most popular,
but spinning and fly fishing are also effective. Trout, Salmon, Steelhead, stream and lake fly-fishing
trips can also be arranged along with remote fly-out fishing trips.
Wilderness Rim Resort is fully equipped and provides year-round activities. In summer; hiking
hunting, wildlife and nature photography, fishing and flight seeing to name a few. In winter guests
enjoy ice fishing, cross country skiing, snow mobiling, snow boarding or skating.
WILDERNESS RIM
All of the resort buildings are log construction and include 13 cozy, furnished log cabins, central
washroom, and ice house & fish cleaning room. There are 2 boat docks, and a floatplane dock for
easy access to the resort. The resort also owns a hanger on 1.75 acres at the Anahim airport.

Nimpo Lake is known as the "Float Plane Capital of BC" with endless recreational opportunities attracting numerous tourists and sports enthusiasts to the area. Among the tourist attractions are
nearby Hunlen Falls with a spectacular drop of approximately 1200 feet and the 2.2 million acre
Tweedsmuir Provincial Park.

NIMPO LAKE: “The Float Plane Capital of BC” (Pop. Approximately 160) Nimpo Lake is located
beside Highway #20 76.5km west of Tatla Lake. It is possible to fly in, either from Williams Lake by
charter or Vancouver to the airport at Anahim Lake, lodges supply transport from there. Nimpo
Lake is approximately six miles long with islands and bays. With a backdrop of Mount Kappan and
the Coast Mountains, one could easily spend their vacation just admiring the scenery. There is very
little rainfall the average is only 11 inches per year. Most days are clear and sunny summer and
winter. The snow is very powdery.

Nimpo Lake is the center for air charters to remote fly-in fishing spots. The ready availability of all services, as well as good fishing, makes this an excellent choice for a family-fishing holiday. Nimpo supports a good population of rainbow trout in the three-pound class with fish of five pounds and better
not uncommon. In 1993 Nimpo was one of the BC lakes that hosted the World Fly-Fishing Championship. As “the last frontier”, the Chilcotin and Nimpo Lake attract more and more tourists every year,
which come as fishermen, hunters, hikers, kayakers, trail riders, photographers and nature admirers.
ANAHIM LAKE: is located 20km west of Nimpo Lake on Hwy. 20. Anahim Lake has 3 grocery
stores, a modern nursing station, the RCMP, a church, the Cariboo Road Service as well as the airport with one daily scheduled flight Vancouver, Bella Coola and Campbell River. There is a gas station, snowmobile dealer, a building supply store, and a restaurant and pub. Anahim also has a welding business, a towing and tire repair shop and laundromat. Anahim Lake hosts the annual Stampede
& Rodeo.
Services for Nimpo Lake include:
*The General Store - They have a selection of both fresh and canned food and also sell some building equipment, fishing tackle and licenses, propane, fuel and souvenirs and it is a Government
Agency liquor store.
*Chilcotin’s Gate Restaurant – has recently been built new and is also open year round. It is fully licensed, seats about 60 people, and has a full menu it is also Post Office.
*The Country Bakery and Cafe – is located a little down the road and is open year round, it opens at
6am for full breakfast. It is especially frequented for its homemade pastries but features a variety of
good food.
*The L&L Second Hand Store – is open least 2 days a week.
*The G&G Art Gallery – recently opened offering custom-made and commissioned country style
paintings and sewing products.
*The Church – there is a minister in town and services are held each Sunday at the hall.
*School: There is a school in Anahim Lake with school bus stop right at Nimpo Lake. This school offers kindergarten to grade 10. There is bus service each day from Nimpo to Anahim. After grade 10
the children are bussed to Williams Lake, where they board in dorms during the week and are bussed
back home each Friday. There is also a Christian school located next to the motel right at Nimpo
Lake.
*The Garage & Trailer Park – is located next to the bakery and handles your small car/truck repairs,
changes tires etc. They also have towing and snow removal service available.
RECREATION
Aviation for both wheel and float planes. In the summer enjoy fishing, wildlife viewing, photography,
camping, hiking, canoeing, paddling, boating, swimming, horseback riding, hunting and much more.
RESORT
In fall and winter, the main attractions are hunting, ice fishing, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing into the backcountry or across the frozen lake. The nearby Rainbow mountains in Tweedsmuir
Provincial Park, (the largest Provincial Park in BC) become more and more popular ever year for
snowmobilers from all across BC.
