Parents of 4th-8th Graders:
CVCS purchased agendas for all students in
grades 4-8 and would greatly appreciate a
$5.00 donation to cover the price of the agenda. An agenda is a useful tool that keeps students organized and parents informed about
school.
Students who misplace or damage
their agenda may replace it for a $5.00 fee.
Reminders for 2015-2016:
Parents: Please remember to look at and sign your
child’s home/school folder or agenda EVERY DAY!
Thank you.
PLEASE drop off your children at the designated
drop-off area by the park! Last year we had many
parents dropping students off on Western Ave.
Western is a busy street and we do not want any
injured students!
Need clothes?
Please come check out the supply of gently used school
clothes in the multi-purpose room! We have a variety of sizes,
so please come get a bag full. If you would like to donate
clothes, bring them to the library. The clothes will be available
this week only, Monday-Friday.
A big THANK YOU to everyone who came to the potluck last
Thursday! The food was delicious, as usual!

snake, and a trumpet? Yell for help.
When Selyna grows up she wants to be a rockstar. Congratulations, Selyna, you are a superstar!
Music Jammin’ and Band Begin This Week
Band begins this week on Wednesday! No instrument is needed for the first day of beginning band, which will meet at
2:55-3:30. Advanced band meets at 3:30-4:30. Dr. Eileen will hold a parent orientation and instrument check-out on
Wednesday September 2 at 5:00pm. If you need more information, please contact Eileen Comstock at 575-418-7752
or [email protected].
Music Jammin’ with Ms. Beth meets at 2:45-3:15 on Thursdays. This is for all ages of students who love music and singing! Parents, please be prompt when you pick your children up. Thank you!
Running Club Starts Today!
Ms. Dow begins each day with a run with the Running Club at West Park. Students need to be ready to run by 7:45 am,
so parents can drop them off at the pick-up/drop-off area right next to the park. If you have any questions about this
great new CVCS club, please reference the letter Ms. Dow sent home last week.
2015-2016 Student/Parent Handbook
If you have NOT picked up your family copy of the 2015-2016 CVCS student/parent handbook, please stop by the office
and pick one up. We are asking parents sign for the copy so we can keep track of families who have received a handbook. We know this is an inconvenience for some working parents, so we thank you in advance!
CVCS Dress Policy Review
Staff has noticed some dress policy violations this week, so we are asking all families to review the CVCS Dress Policy
posted on the school’s website, cottonwoodvalley.org or in the 2015-2016 CVCS Student Handbook. Please call the
office if you have any questions.
S.C.R.A.T.C.H.
If you are a 4th or 5th grader who loves computers, graphics, and animation, come sign-up for SCRATCH! SCRATCH
will meet on Mondays from 2:40-3:45. If you would like more information, please talk to Ms. Rehder. If you would like
an application to sign-up, see Jill. She has the applications in the library.
We Need Your Pepperidge Farms Labels!
There is a great opportunity for bonus labels with the submission of Pepperidge Farms labels, so please bring in all the labels and
BoxTops you collected over the summer! Thank you!
