E1095: Gate Functions
• Gate 1, Gate 2 and Gate3: Independent Measurements Gates
• Echo-to-Echo Measurement with Gate 2 Tracking (relative to gate 1)
• Gate Alarms – audible and visual – can be activated separately
• Precise wall thickness measurement with Zero Crossing gates
• In Freeze mode gates can be modified, also
• Skip distance marker with gate 1 and/or gate 2
• Back-Wall Echo attenuation with gate 3
• 6 Function Keys, easy selecting gate or user functions
E1095: Envelope Functions
Envelope Functions
• Record Envelope to specify echo dynamics
• Envelope can be stored with configuration
• Envelop will be recovered when loading
configuration and can be edited or
used as reference as well
E1095: Probe database
Probe Database
• Complete Data Set of all available KD
standard transducers
• Easy adjusting of transducer data without
using a PC
• Generating and handling of own
transducer data sets
E1095: Gate Attenuation

attenuation
E1095: Weld seam inspection on curved surfaces
• Select skip distance factor for
gate 1 & 2
• The gates will be positioned
automatically according to skip
distance
• Symbol will be shown to indicate
mode
E1095: Wallthickness Measurement

be moved,
deleted
orand
inserted
adding of DAC-points possible.
• Max 6 thresholds
• Optical or acoustical alarm on crossing
main threshold
• TCG
E1095: AWS D1.1 (Optional)
AWS D1.1 (American Welding Society)
Weld Rating Software
A = Discontinuity indication level (dB) [Fehlerverstärkung)]
B = Reference indication level (dB) [Bezugsverstärkung]
C = Attenuation factor (dB) [Schallschwächungsfaktor] (0,079dB/mm x (S-25,4mm )
D = Indication rating (dB) [Fehlerklasse (A-B-C)]
E1095: JIS (Optional)
JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard Z3060)
H Line – reference curve
M Line – 6 dB below the H line
L- Line 12 dB below the H Line
Any one of these three lines can be used as the
reference (as the base line for further measurements).
The remaining three offset lines are drawn at 6, 12,
and 18 dB above the H line.
E1095: DGS Function (Optional)
European Standard (AVG):
Described in DIN EN 583
Evaluates the reflected echo in
DGS Mode (Distance Gain Size),
and calculates the
Equivalent Reflector Size
The DGS diagram forms the basis for this comparison of the reflecting power. This diagram
consists of a set of curves showing the connection of three influencing variables:
• Distance (D) between the probe and circular, disk-shaped equivalent reflector
• Difference in gain (G) between various large circular, disk-shaped equivalent
reflectors and an infinitely large back wall
• Size (S) of the circular, disk-shaped equivalent reflector.
The influencing variable S remains constant for one curve in a set
The advantage of the DGS method lies in the fact that you can carry out reproducible
evaluations of small discontinuities.
In Preparation: Matrix-Datastorage
The E1095 can store Measurement- and Parameter Data
in many differernt ways
Individual Measurements
Series Measurments
Corrosion Test Results in Matrix
2D Matrix for Corrosion test (in preparation)
In Preparation: TOFD und B-Scan
Looking into the future: Interface Box
4 Alarm Ports

Analog out [V/I]
• Different to E1090: The Interface Box will be configured in the E1095-menu
• Analog Output: Current Source or Voltage
Voltage range 0V to 5 V or 0 V to 10 V
Current output ranges: 4 mA to 20 mA
• For use with PLC-Connection (SPS-Anlagen)
