INEOS is a young company. It has grown through a series of related acquisitions to become a leading chemical company
with sales today around $ 28.4 billion.
Most of our employees have spent all their working lives in the chemical or oil industry. They arrived at INEOS from
companies such as BASF, Bayer, Borealis, BP, Degussa, Dow, Enichem, Hoechst, ICI, Norsk Hydro and Solvay. We
continue unashamedly to extract best practices from this very impressive group of people in all spheres of activity.
We believe INEOS is a refreshing place to work and we are prepared to embrace new approaches to business. Safety is
our first priority. We believe strongly in employee share ownership, we are highly focused on growth and EBITDA, and see
the “customer as king”.
We look forward to working with you.

Refining
INEOS Refining is Europe's leading independent crude oil refiner. With two particularly advantaged refineries it processes more
than 410,000 barrels of crude oil per day, to produce in the region of 19 million tonnes of fuels per annum. Its refineries are
strategically located at Grangemouth Scotland and Lavéra France and are both fully integrated with co-sited petrochemical
assets of the Company. Close proximity to feedstocks and customers are key elements of the businesses strength.
www.ineosrefining.com
Grangemouth is directly connected to the Forties oil field system in the North Sea and also imports other crudes from around
the world via a deep sea terminal on the west coast of Scotland. Lavéra is located on the Mediterranean coast, which is one
of the world's largest crude oil trading basins. Crude diet flexibility and upgrading capabilities further augment INEOS
Refining's leading position; with both refineries featuring cat-cracking and hydro-cracking units skewing outputs in favour of
premium products such as gasoline, diesel and jet fuel.

Refineries are physically integrated with petrochemical plants located at the same sites and are unusual by European standards in that both combine a hydrocracker (HC) with a fluidised catalytic cracker (FCC).
The combination of these two units enables the manufacture of light, low sulphur gasoline and bias production towards middle distillates, principally diesel, consistent with market demand

Styrenics
The Styrenics business placed a number of its assets into a joint venture with NOVA in 2005 (NOVA Innovene). The scope of
this joint venture was extended in 2007 to include all of the INEOS Styrenics US operations and the European polystyrene and
expanded polystyrene assets. The venture was then renamed INEOS NOVA.
www.ineosstyrenics.com
INEOS Styrenics remains producer of ethylbenzene and styrene monomer with production facilities in Germany.
Styrene monomer is used extensively in the manufacture of plastics, resins, rubbers and latexes such as polystyrene (PS),
expandable polystyrene (EPS), acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), Styrene Acrylonitrile (SAN), butadiene rubber (SBR), and
styrene butadiene latex (SBL). Products produced from styrene include packaging, electrical and thermal insulation, fibreglass,
pipes, automobile parts, carpet backing, drinking cups and other food-use items.
