Pastor
Dear Friends,
It's coming! Consecration Sunday is almost here! On Sunday, November 9, we will celebrate our church
with a brunch at 10:00AM and a lunch at 12:00PM. Make sure you have your reservation cards in for this great
day. Dr. Jeremy Pridgeon, the Pensacola District Superintendent and Gulf County native, will be our guest
preacher. It will be a day to remember. The purpose of the day is ask ourselves the question “what does God
want me to give our church for next year?” We build our budget for next year with the estimates that you submit. Our church is growing and filled with excitement. I can't wait to see what we are able to do together next
year!
Peace of Christ,
Pastor Geoffrey
Krystal Terry
Children’s Director
I am so thankful for our growing Children’s Ministry! What an amazing group of children we have at First United Methodist
Church. I appreciate all of the volunteers who have been helping out with our programs. Anyone else who is interested in
helping, please contact me at 227-1724 or [email protected].
Kid’s Life:
This month our Kid’s Life will focus on “being thankful.” We will also be teaming up with the CCDF (Christian Community
Development Fund) for a mission project in which we will be reaching out to Senior Citizens in our area. We will also be
working with the Humane Society in donating treats to the animals. We are asking that each child bring in one small bag of dog
treats, (not food) to our Kid’s Life meeting on November 19 th.
Sprouts and Truth Walkers:
Our Sprouts and Truth Walkers programs will learning about “Harvesting for God” and The Fruit of the Spirit this month. We
will also be singing God Bless America at the 11:00 service on November 9th. Remember that Sprouts (Pre-K-1st) meets every
Tuesday and Truth Walkers (2nd-5th) meets every Thursday in the Fellowship Hall. The bus picks up at both schools. If you are
not attending, we would love to have you!

Our Pumpkin Patch was an overwhelming success!
Over the course of 3 weeks we sold almost $11,000
worth of pumpkins. This allowed us to keep
33.3% of the money we brought in. In my wildest
dreams I couldn’t have imagined the success that
we had. Not only did we reach a monetary goal I
couldn’t have fathomed, but we also had over 500
little ones visit our pumpkin patch through field
trips. We entertained PSJ Elementary’s Prek-3rd
graders, PSJ Elementary’s Bridges program,
Apalachicola Head Start, Gulf County’s Head Start,
Growing Minds Autism Program, and Faith
Christian. What an amazing community outreach
our little pumpkin patch turned into! We couldn’t
have made it possible without the help of every one
of you!! Without hesitation you stepped up and
helped in every way possible. From John Nagy
donating his time and materials for signs and photo
scenes, Kylie Skoda painting our wooden
pumpkins and scarecrow scene, Mrs. Melinda
Williams and Krystal Terry creating a fun and
interactive story time, David Ashbrook
coordinating our last minute unloading team: the
Mainstay workers, the Marshalls, the Wichs,
Cessnas, Wes Fisher, Mr. Roy Smith, Dr. Grace, the
Madsens, and the Lentzes. Then of course there is
every one of you that worked a shift in the patch
selling our pumpkins. We are truly blessed to have a congregation filled with such giving hearts!! Thank you all!!!!

Pastoral Care Board
This board is mounted in the church office and helps us keep up with our homebound who need visiting, members who are in the hospital
or rehab, and members who are dealing with the loss of a loved one. The Pastoral Care Board will make it easier for Pastor Geoffrey to
make sure his visitation list is up to date. If you know of a person that needs a visit from our Pastor, please call the church office and give
