The Gathering
PEOPLE OF TomorrowWorld,
YOU WILL BE part of history!
You are invited to write the second chapter, and continue our fairy tale… Open up the Book of Wisdom!
Hello, friends. Welcome to our second home. Here, we
shall re-open the Book of Wisdom. You will be part of a
new, unique chapter, the first one told from the Chattahoochee hillside. What was once local, now goes global;
Land becomes World. None of that, however, is of very
much importance – what matters is the story that we, to-
gether, will tell. Over the next four days, not a single one
of you will be able to witness all the magic that TomorrowWorld contains, yet each and every one of you will
see, hear, taste and feel so much that it’ll be all you can
do not to burst. Some of you will stick to the MainStage,
loyal to the end, while others roam freely and take in the
vibe. Yet every podium has its own style, each DJ his fans,
and so together, we will be there for every single memorable moment. By our combined experience, the next
chapter in the Book of Wisdom shall be written.
Now go out and enjoy. Our story begins.
Are you ready for The Gathering?
Dreamville gathers, and now our tale begins. It shall not end until the music stops. TomorrowWorld, get ready for us!
Dreamville, city of grass fields & canvas roofs, has housed Tomorrowland’s
citizens since time immemorial. You
are more than welcome to see it arise
in the foothills of our second home as
well, and of course, your arrival must
To all party people

You’ve just arrived in the land of fairy tales,

Hello World
The magic of TomorrowWorld
stems from across the Atlantic,
and attracts many patrons from
halfway across the globe.
INTERNATIONAL
MEETING
SATURDAY, 4PM
In its journey to Chattahoochee, the
Book of Wisdom has travelled over 5,500
miles, traversing the mainland of two continents and the ocean between them alike.
The distance took more than two months
to span, yet everything arrived intact and
in time. The keepers of the Book, however, aren’t the only ones to have travelled.
From all over the world, revelers flock to
our second home for a weekend of madness. Over 50 nationalities are known to
be present, which means almost a quarter
of the world’s countries will get to hear
the tales of Tomorrow. We’d like to say
hello, and welcome, to all those who made
the trip from Japan, Australia, South
Africa, and the dozens of other countries to grace us with the presence of
their inhabitants. We hope your travels
were pleasant. Surely, you’ll be able to
make some new, international friends, for
during the days to come, all of us will be
part of the same sovereignty: TomorrowWorld. And as we unite into one nation of
bookworms, all of us will become equal.
In the creation of the Book of Wisdom’s
second chapter, your origins won’t matter anymore. They shouldn’t be forgotten,
but they’re less important than the sense
of unity that our festival will bring. We’re
all here now, ready for a weekend of madness, far away from the normal world and
completely carefree. So fly your flags, fly
them high, and mingle with the ones wearing different colors whenever you can.
That is how you say hello to the world!
Two lucky birds from each country have been invited to the international meetup at the mainstage VIP. Come show your support, fly your
flags, and make friends too! Everyone’s invited at the mainstage, Saturday 4pm. Bring flags, national symbols, and bodypaint!

The fairytale’s
first nine chapters
Tomorrowland’s size being what it is now, it’s hard to imagine that just 10,000
people attended the first edition in 2005. 2013 was only the festival’s 9th
incarnation, but what growth we have seen – TML grew from 10,000 to 180,000
visitors and has been winning Best Festival awards for years in a row.
•2008•
The above-mentioned successes meant the time was right to pack our bags for the next step: TomorrowWorld!
The wisdom of Tomorrowland needs to be spread throughout the world, everybody should be taught which
way is right, and so the worshiped Land was expanded into a whole World. But before we begin, let’s consider
the history of Tomorrow for a bit. When ID&T announced the first Tomorrowland in 2005, their vision was
already clear. “At Tomorrowland it’s not only about the music. The decoration is at least as important for this
festival,” ID&T promised back then. Once the décor was set, eight stages were filled with dozens of dance
acts from all around the world, some of whom have never stopped enjoying the magic. Coone is the prime
example, having played every edition so far.
Nobody knew what to expect from the first one, even though it was based on the Dutch festival Mysteryland.
Well, now we know what they meant by “not only about the music”. The second edition in 2006 pulled 15,000
people; ID&T added a campsite with an exclusive stage for all campers to enjoy. But the madness really broke
loose in year three. With more than 50,000 people and a second festival day it finally started to look like
nowadays’ Tomorrowland. The amount of visitors and length of the festival remained the same in 2008, but
it was the first edition with more than 100 DJs performing. From 2008 on, it was clear that De Schorre, Boom,
Belgium, had birthed something truly extraordinary.
A few more stages were added in 2009, including the ‘I love the 90’s’-stage where famous artists like Push and
Scooter performed. The most special act at the mainstage of that year’s edition was probably Moby. With over
90,000 visitors the crowd almost doubled that single year. Apart from the extra stages, a lot of other novelties
were added to the festival, including an actual skipiste. The sixth edition took place on the 24th and 25th of
July 2010 and was the first to sell out more than a month before the festival started. With 120,000 attendees
and twenty-five thousand people on the campsite the festival became larger by a third again, calling for the
now-familiar rotating hosting-partner schedule to give everyone what they wanted. 2011’s Tomorrowland
added another full festival day. Headliners included Swedish House Mafia, Tiësto and 2 Many DJs. One year
later, the eighty thousand tickets for Belgian visitors sold out in one day. The global ticket reserve, counting
100,000 pieces, took a couple seconds to deplete. This was also the first year the festival was broadcasted
live on YouTube, making for an extremely impressive production that we wager most of you have watched.
•2009•
For this year’s Tomorrowland, ID&T reserved 90,000 tickets for Belgium’s inhabitants, which sold out in just
over twelve minutes. Despite the problems caused by passing thunderstorms – mainly on Saturday – yet
another wonderful festival was had. And it had one unique feature: many of the patrons knew the end wasn’t
really the end, because they’d be doing it all over again in Chattahoochee, two months later! Now that we
find ourselves here, the objective is to recreate the Belgian chemistry. Prepare yourself for a breath-taking
weekend and have your mind ready to be blown.

CHARGE YOUR PHONE
•2005•
•2006•
At TomorrowWorld, neither you nor your phone needs to run out of batteries! For you we’ve got a variety of food stands, but for your phone we’ve got
the PWRBOX mobile phone charging unit. You can either purchase a mobile
phone charging voucher at the link on the website or simply sign up and pay at
the booth located on the festival site. If you’ve booked your PWRBOX-battery
in advance it will be waiting for you at the booth, so come on in and pick it
up when your smartphone needs to be charged. It’s easy as pie: connect the
PWRBOX-battery to your phone to charge it, put it back in your pocket or bag
and enjoy a carefree time around the festival. Swap the battery when your
PWRBOX-battery needs to be recharged and return it to the PWRBOX booth
after you’ve given your smartphone its final charge.
•2007•
Tomorrowland’s ‘De Schorre’ and TomorrowWorld’s Chattahoochee Hills have one very
big advantage in common: both are comprised of the perfect landscape for their festivals,
including the valley needed for the mainstage. The mainstage in 2005 was nothing
compared to this year’s volcano, but the terrain was meant for great artistic creations from
the get-go.
The Chattahoochee Hills have been here for hundreds of years, waiting for ID&T to
receive you guys at TomorrowWorld. The Book of Wisdom will merge seamlessly into
the green, enchanting landscape. Like its colleagues – the enormous rainbow, the faced
tree, the volcano – it will take you to a magical place where anything is possible. All across
the grounds, artwork, decorations, mystical creatures and beautiful beings will take you
deeper into that fairy-tale atmosphere. Indeed, we can trace TomorrowWorld’s history
back to the Dutch festival Mysteryland, but it has become a world all of its own.

Guetta at
Tomorrowland 2013:
“Ah, Tomorrowland! I’ve
been playing Tomorrowland
each year, since the very
first year. And each year
it’s getting bigger and bigger
and there are more people
coming from everywhere in
the world. I see flags from
Christian countries, Jewish
countries, Muslim countries
and we’re all together. This
is the most beautiful thing
in the world. It makes me
really shiver.”
Becoming the best dance festival in the world takes some effort.
ID&T worked very hard to create and secure Tomorrowland’s
identity, but they’ve obviously had a load of help. For that, the
performing artists deserve credit; they helped turn “not only about
music” into “music as good as at any other festival, supplemented
by an otherworldly décor.” Just about any remarkable artist in
dance music has found themselves on one of De Schorre’s stages.
A few examples: Moby, Skrillex, Avicii, Faithless, Fatboy Slim and
Steve Aoki. And don’t forget cross-genre experiments like Chuckie
featuring guitarist Slash during his set this year! Some artists just
can’t get enough of Tomorrowland and its crowd. As mentioned
above, Coone didn’t miss a single edition, attending all of them as
a performing artist. David Guetta has also played many different
Tomorrowlands – all except the very first one, in fact. Belgian artists
Fred Baker and Marco Bailey showed up many times, but not as
many as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike! They’ve performed two times
every year starting in 2010, becoming TML’s residents of sorts.
That’s what brought them to the United States, what brought them
TomorrowWorld and brought them to you, along with scores of
other deejays.

TOMORROWWORLD BREW
Everything about TomorrowWorld is extraordinary. The terrain, the
artists, and especially the people! And for you, the most dedicated
crowd in the world, only a specially brewed beer can be good
enough! Made by Breckenridge Brewery, this ‘TomorrowWorld Brew’
is a bright and clean golden ale, made just for you. It’s ideal for outdoor activities, as it has a lower bitterness rating and immediately
refreshes the thirsty raver. It comes in a limited quantity and is only
available at TomorrowWorld this weekend. Alongside other kinds of
beer like Vanilla Porter, Avalanche Ale and Trademark Pale, Breckenridge Brewery has provided you with a very, very special brand of
beer. So get your own 14 to 16 ounces of TomorrowWorld Brew and
enjoy the liquid happiness that is yours for the taking!

The best place to
wake up is in a dream
During years past, it has been called many things. ‘City of Dreams’, ‘ungodly muddy
mess’, ‘that place where those crazy campers stay, in their leaky canvas shacks’, and
even ‘home’ – for a weekend. A true Dreamville denizen knows that all those terms
are compliments. For Dreamville is not about comfort, nor even about sleep. It is
about TomorrowWorld and its people. You, your friends, your neighbours (who will
soon become your friends), that girl who lent you her sunscreen (but disappeared
before you could make friends with her), the pavilion tent-dwelling group down the
road who invited you for a beer (and have thus become your friends) after you took
the wrong turn trying to find your own spot back… we could go on, but no need.
If you’ve been to Dreamville before, you know what to expect, even though a few
surprises have been added as always. If you haven’t, well, you’re about to find out.
Go, explore Dreamville, and oh… mind our photographers. Enjoy!
The bakery
MARKETPLACE
What better way to break your fast than with
freshly baked bread? The bakery’s team will be
slaving away all night just so you can get your
morning delight. Want to know where to find it?
Just follow the smell…
As always, Dreamville will be equipped with a
market place to rival your average shopping mall.
Supermarket, camping store & accessories shops –
you name it, and it can be found nearby the bridge
to the festival in the green district.
NEVER FORGET
It is never an easy thing to gather your stuff, leave
for the festival grounds, and get it right the first time.
Without having to go back for stuff you thought you
wouldn’t need, that is. Here are a few pointers on what
not to forget:
• Your friends
• Ridiculous or sexy outfit (preferably with pockets) (boring
outfits are strongly discouraged)
• Sunscreen (seriously, do it!)
• Smiles, lots of smiles
• Wallet, containing money, tokens, and possibly condoms
• Phone (charged)
• Sunglasses (may also be worn at night)
• Extra pair of underwear to fling into favourite DJ’s face
• Lighter (great for making friends!)
• Chewing gum (possibly even better for making friends)
• Your own sexy self (best for making friends)

TENT TROUBLE
SHOWERS
If you’re having trouble setting up your tent or unpacking your stuff, Dreamville has just what you need:
neighbours! Surely, those handsome men can wrestle
your canvas into just the right curve. Or perhaps the
girls next door can hold onto your herrings while you
put up your pole. Have fun!
Whereas TomorrowWorld is for getting down ‘n dirty,
Dreamville is for freshening up and catching some Zs.
But not too many. Showers are paid with 2 ordinary

Those of you who visited Tomorrowland will clearly see the similarities
Carl is talking about.
Several valleys, miles and miles of
paths, countless ponds; in the Hills,
we notice that decorations, shows &
sound systems are not all there is to
a festival. It’s the grounds that set the
stage. Quite literally, in the case of
Chattahoochee – as if by magic, it’s
home to just the right kind of natural
amphitheater to recreate the Tomorrowland mainstage. All in all, the hills
around us now are a piece of natural
art, and they surely make it a whole
lot easier to lose yourself in the world
of Tomorrow…

Who would have thought the little known Tomorrowland festival would grow into TomorrowWorld?
Maybe the Belgian team, but certainly not me.
What an honour to be involved in such an organisation. One big amazing family that keeps getting
bigger!
I am excited as a grown up buying the 5s, to be visiting the home of Martin Luther King and staying in
the city known as A-town. Of course Chattahoochee
Hills will create such an incredible feeling for so
many reasons. The spirits of the native Indians will
almost certainly feel the love vibrations throughout
the weekend, I just hope they will be understanding and give us their blessings. I won’t ramble on
too much as we are all here to party but please do
your very best to appreciate the wonderful site that
has been chosen for such a spiritual gathering, take
nothing for granted and behave in a way we can all
be proud of. We want to be invited back right!?
So, the show must go on and I want to send a shout
out to the production team and in particular my
man Rutger who works his socks off like no one
else. Those guys in shorts and big heavy boots with
ear pieces, walkie talkies and a very strange look on
their faces are critical to this whole operation. New
horizons beckon so to Rutger and the team, toi toi
toi (break a leg) and see you for a glass of champers
on Monday morning!!!
Sun, Fun, Love, Rave:
jumpstart your weekend
at The Gathering
After you have finally arrived and managed to put up your tent you’ll be ready to
roll into the weekend. Come gather, all you citizens of TomorrowWorld, as we would
like to welcome you to Dreamville’s The Gathering.
make this a weekend kick-off to never, ever, EVER forget.
The Gathering is way more than just a pre-party as we’ve got Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike,
Le Castle Vania, Yves V, Heroes x Villains, The Oddword, TJR, Mayhem & Antiserum, GRiZ
and a lot more lined up for you. The Gathering is where we all gather (duh!) to kick off
an already legendary weekend of fun, love, rave and just the right dose of that mystical
TomorrowWorld Magic!
Hosted by Counterpoint, The Gathering is set up to be the mirror image to its Belgian cousin.
Last year 25,000 Dreamvillers went out of their minds at that massive open-air party. This
year, we’d like to see if we can do the same at Chattahoochee, our second home.
From the moment your camp has been made until late at night, a carefully picked line-up,
spread across two areas, will kickstart the party mood at Dreamville. The mesmerizing
setting, the overwhelming music and the warm feeling of togetherness are guaranteed to
Always remember; stop the hate, spread the love.
As the teachings of Martin Luther King begin to
become a real part of our everyday lives, this weekend will make him sing in the heavens as dreams

Everyday we pick the funniest, weirdest, most extreme picture taken at TomorrowWorld. If it’s your photo, we’ll get in touch with you. ‘Cause taking the picture of the day will not go unrewarded. For the rest of you, keep snapping those

better make sure they’re just as ready for today we expect
you to show us that your party-skills are worthy to officially

and have your brains blown out by the likes of Steve Aoki,

His friends know him as Tijs Verwest, a handsome boy that grew up in
the town of Breda in the south of The Netherlands, but to the rest of the
world he is the one and only Tiësto – the greatest DJ to ever set foot on
this planet. The subtitle on his business card reads ‘The Greatest DJ Of All
Time’ and when his aura, musicianship and magnetism start ravishing the
hearts, heads and bodies of the rave, the hundreds of thousands people
that attend his live shows, there’s not a single soul that will argue those
accolades.
records, six golden DVDs, a wax statue at Madame Tussaud’s, over
150 million hits on YouTube, over 15 million fans on Facebook, 2
million followers on Twitter and countless awards and prizes to visibly
endorse his larger-than-life status, yet there is no greater proof of his
skills than his mind-blowing live-sets. Tiësto pioneered in visually
improving the live performance of an electronic artist by heavily investing in
mesmerizing exhibitions of lasers, astonishing light shows and massive
LED screens displaying the most marvelous visuals and images. “I wanted
to create an experience that transcends
the music, a show that touches people
in every possible way by addressing them from every possible angle.
Musically, visually and spiritually,” he
explains.
A powerful, energetic, jawdropping performance to
never, ever forget
Whether he’s working with superstars like
Faithless’ Maxi Jazz, Flo Rida, Busta Rhymes
or Nelly Furtado, remixing the works of
greats such as Radiohead, Britney, The Killers, Muse, Gotye or Coldplay, co-producing track with Ferry Corsten, Armin van
Buuren or Showtek or just conscientiously
composing an album on his own, Tiësto puts an inimitable brilliance
into everything he does. The fact that he puts in 200% of his effort
every single time may count as the secret ingredient that keeps
his star shining brighter than any one of his colleagues’ – quite the
accomplishment with a career spanning two decades. A career that still
takes him back to basics playing a surprise gig for a handful of lucky
clubbers in a town halfway around the world, then puts him on the
decks of a massive stage on Amsterdam’s Museumplein performing
for no less than 350.000 people, only to gig at a flurry of festival before
going back to the clubs again.
Tiësto’s got numerous MTV awards, a Grammy nomination, nine golden
2013 saw Tiësto embarking on the
follow up to his Club Life College Invasion Tour throughout the United
States. Tiësto’s tour climaxed at a sold out show at LA’s Home Depot Center
as he performed the largest single headline DJ show in US history before
a party of no less than 26.000 ravers. But his fans already knew that Tiësto
is a man of ‘firsts’. He was the first DJ to sell out several dates at the Brixton
Academy, Alexandra Palace and the O2 Arena in the UK, he was the first DJ
to headline a sold-out show at the immense Victoria Park in London and
he is the only DJ ever to sell out a three-month residency at Priviledge
in Ibiza. Tijs’ TomorrowWorld performance will be powerful, it will be
energetic, it will be one jaw-dropping, uplifting party to never ever
forget. The full-on Tiësto experience!

Most of you have probably heard of Steve Aoki more than once, haven’t

successful nowadays. Their presence guarantees a hell of a party, but this

musical way. We were searching for new challenges earlier this year
so we decided to develop Afroki. We gave a sneak peek at the Dutch
Kingsday Festival and performed for a few minutes at Tomorrowland, but TomorrowWorld seemed like the right place for our world
premiere. Our first real performance together at the first edition of
TomorrowWorld, that’s an opportunity we didn’t want to miss!”
Afrojack announced it himself on this year’s Tomorrowland when he
joined Steve’s set at the mainstage: “This is Steve Aoki and Afrojack:
Afroki. ARE YOU FUCKING READY?” Well, are
you!? They gave a little teaser in Belgium, but
they’ll rock the main stage for over an hour this
Saturday. You’d better be ready to lose your
mind and witness this big step in music history. “It’s always nice to join someone for a b2b
session, just to give your set a tiny different
twist. But what we are doing at TomorrowWorld
is much more than that. Totally different!” Aoki says. Nick remains:
“Afroki is more than just a single jump into each other’s performances,
it’s a collaboration. A combination of two DJs who think combining
their sound will have a unique result. Not a one-time thing, but an
ongoing project that starts right here.” Some of you may wonder,
why Afroki? Afrojack has an easy explanation. “Well, Stefrojack didn’t
sound right and Afroki just sounds best when the MC screams it
followed by ‘JUMP’ I guess, haha.” Steve: “We’re both known for our
ability to make huge crowds go completely crazy. We don’t want to
praise ourselves for anything, but I haven’t seen the crowd standing
still anywhere, have you? On earlier collaborations and other meetings we both felt there was more than just those small things, in a

(even though that was before the

‘Afroki’ and ‘No Beef’ were the
results of earlier Aoki & Afrojack
studio sessions. You may wonder: ‘What can we expect from them now? Something new?’ Nick denies that: “Of course not! Why should we get out of our comfort zone
to try something new? That would be egocentric; the crowd expects
nothing more than a mixture of Steve Aoki and me, Afrojack. We’re
willing to give them that mixture, and the extras coming with that
boost of fresh inspiration and energy. Oh, you call that new? Well, we
will bring something new! But being new is just not our starting point,
we are used to perform and make the crowd go completely mad, so
we’re planning to do exactly that same thing.” They’re making a little
fun about their appearance, but we are dead serious: make sure you’ll
be there in time!

One last time. Because Tomorrow is now!
As the sun comes up and sheds it’s light across the still quiet grounds of Chattahoochee Hills, the songs

instead of letting that realization get you down, use it to your advantage. You’ve got only one day left, so
make it the very freaking best one of all!
To see you all having the times of your live, fills every single one of us up with a mixture of pride, joy and pure happiness. Together we’ve made the incredible journey through
TomorrowWorld. We shared incredible moments of joy, love
for one another and memories that’ll last a lifetime. This Sunday will be all about giving everything you’ve got. No holding
back, cause tomorrow is now, kid. From all of us putting this
amazing experience together, thank you. Thank you for being part of this. Thank you for your energy. Thank you, just
for being you. And if you’d like to express gratitude towards
us, no need to. If you want, do so by being just as awesome,

FOCUS ON GLORIOUS SUNDAY
It’s fair to say that Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, the Belgian brothers with
Greek roots, are basically the Tomorrowland mascots. Touring around the
world all year, this weekend is by far the most important stop on their
touring schedule and it’s pretty much a home game. Dimitri Vegas & Like
Mike own it every time. And as of this weekend, they are about to own
TomorrowWorld just the same!
Do you feel like you’ve got something to prove at TomorrowWorld?
“I think the whole Tomorrowland team has something to prove, a
goal to achieve, at TomorrowWorld, but that’s the challenge we have
accepted. And people can definitely expect something special from
our show.”
What do DJs and producers need in order to make it to the top?
“As a DJ it is very important to find your own sound and distinguish
yourself from the rest, that’s the way to get noticed. You also have to
be persistent and always keep going, you need to keep on building
and fortifying your career on a daily basis.”
You’ve had quite a busy summer this year. Where do you find the time
to sleep?
“It was indeed a very heavy yet awesome summer. We’ve been playing
Ibiza a lot, which is actually our home away from home, but we still
didn’t have a lot of time to sleep. We’ve played about 5 shows a week,
we’re tired but very happy.”
Next to Tomorrowland, what were the highlights of the last few months?
“We’ve had many great nights at Pacha Ibiza, where Mike did an indoor crowd walk – total madness! Creamfields in London was also
pretty great, we had the chance to close the festival!”
By selling out your forthcoming show at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp it
became clear once again that you’ve got quite the fan army. Do you get
recognized when walking the streets?
“It happens that fans come over and talk to us when we’re just minding our own business in public, but we don’t mind at all. We’re just
people like everyone else.” Nowadays you’re big all over the world but as far as Tomorrowland goes
you’re the one and only true kings. Do you consider the festival to be an
easy home game?
“Not at all! It’s definitely a home game but we want to get better every
time and improve our show. Which worked out pretty great year after
year. To us, it is the highlight of the year. Tomorrowland will always be
one of the most important things in our career, we’re very grateful for
the confidence they gave us.”
And what are the plans for the next couple of months?
A well-deserved holiday maybe?
“We’re going to put a lot of work in preparing our massive tour
throughout the US, Canada and South America in October plus a
show in India the week after. Then in December we’ve got our first
arena show, performing for almost 20.000 people, so that really has
to be top notch and is going to require a whole lot of work! So, no
holidays for us (laughs).”
