ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING
OFFERING TO BE TAKEN
Your gifts to One Great Hour of Sharing help make lifesaving
encounters possible. Dollars raised provide emergency relief, refugee assistance, and hunger ministries in more than 70 countries
around the world. Just as we seek to follow His teachings in our
local communities, your gift expands our outreach to those who suffer from hunger and puts Christ’s words into action around the
world. Please give generously Sunday, March 6th, when we take
an offering for One Great Hour of Sharing. It will make a world
of difference.

THANK YOU
Thank you for your faithful giving in 2015. As you can see
from the financial report, we ended the year in the black. There
was a surplus of over $23,000 which will become a part of our 2016
operating budget.
2015 was a great financial year for First United Methodist
Church Murfreesboro and because of that, it was also a great year
of ministry to our community. Through benevolence, children and
youth programs, worship and teaching, and our Preschool/
Weeschool programs, we had a great impact on our city.
Our building is used seven days a week for meetings, classes,
and musical programs. On Christmas Eve, nearly 3400 people worshiped with us. Many of these individuals do not attend church
regularly, and some do not have a church home.
Thanks to your faithful giving, our witness has touched the
lives of thousands of people. We are reaching those in need and
spreading the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Without
the generous sharing of your financial resources and your time, this
would not be possible.

NEW SAFETY MEASURES FOR CHILDREN'S WING
FUMC will now keep our 1st floor children's wing locked. All
access into the children's wing will be granted by someone inside
the children's wing or by possessing a badge that temporarily unlocks the door. Our system is similar to those found in the local
schools. If you need access into the children's wing, simply press
the button next to the door and someone from inside the wing will
allow you in after verifying who you are. We understand there will
be some hiccups as we work through this new system. We appreciate your patience while we develop the best practices for keeping
our children safe. Questions or concerns regarding the new security
system should be directed to Facilities Manager, Josh Markham.
