The idea behind this kitchen design
was to create a modern, yet transitional
space with BLANCO IKONTM as the focal
point of the kitchen.
White SILGRANIT® colour is paired with
off-white cabinetry, light natural wood
floors and contemporary lighting. The
White sink colour adds a fresh, light
aspect to the kitchen.

The starting point was designing a cabinet around the BLANCO IKONTM sink to make
it the focal point. Not your usual closed cabinet that you are used to seeing in kitchens
but something that was open. This unexpected feature keeps the kitchen airy and
modern. To create drama, a dark marble counter top and surround was used, along
with a fabulous patterned tile for the backsplash. Hits of brass were incorporated into
the space with statement light fixtures, warm wood tones and a stunning hood fan.
Instead of an island, I opted to place a sculptural dining table, another unexpected
touch, giving the kitchen a casual feel that encourages dining and conversation.”
