W HAT TO BRIN G TO SACRED STREAM
Please bring a journal, a water bottle, a mug with a lid, and wear comfortable clothes. The
space has chairs, cushions, and backjacks. If you require specific seating throughout the
weekend, please feel free to bring your own cushions or backjacks.
Sacred Stream has fridge space available and a full kitchen for you to use, including a
stove and microwave, so feel free to bring lunch. However, the venue does not provide
dishes, silverware, or glassware, so if you intend to eat on site, be sure to bring your own.
There are also a few restaurants within walking distance and many within a short drive of
the venue.
PARKIN G
Parking is plentiful in the neighborhood around Sacred Stream. There are no time limits
for parking, or parking permits required. Once per month there is street cleaning, so
please check the street signs.
PUBLIC TRAN SPO RTATIO N FRO M AIRPO RTS
If you are flying in, the nearest airport is Oakland International Airport (OAK). From there,
the convenient AirBART shuttle travels between OAK and the Coliseum/Oakland Airport
BART Station every 10 minutes during the day. From the Oakland Coliseum Station, take
the Richmond line to the North Berkeley BART station. (Follow ground transport directions

If you’re flying into San Francisco airport (SFO), there is BART transport into the east bay.
(Allow 1 hour from SFO to North Berkeley BART station). Take the Pittsburg Bay Point line
to 19th Street Station in downtown Oakland. You will exit here and then transfer to the
Richmond line. Take the Richmond line and exit at the North Berkeley BART station.
(Follow ground transport directions below.)

If you don’t have your own vehicle, your options for public ground transportation are taxis,
shuttles, Uber, AC Transit bus system, and BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit). BART is a fast,
easy & inexpensive way to get around the Bay Area. The closest BART station to Sacred
Stream is the North Berkeley station. The address of the north Berkeley BART station is
1750 Sacramento St. Berkeley, CA. It is .8 miles from Sacred Stream. From there you can
catch a bus, get a taxi (http://www.berkeleyyellowcabs.com) by calling 1-510-208-2888 or
get a ride from another participant. If you have a smart phone, you can also use the Uber
app on your phone and get a ride to Sacred Stream. This is a new service and you can pay

DRIVIN G FRO M I-80 FREEW AY (North or South Bay) —Take I-80 to
Berkeley’s University Avenue exit and head east. Drive .7 miles to San Pablo Ave.
Turn right onto San Pablo and in .2 miles turn left onto Allston Way. In 344 feet,
turn left onto Byron Street and Sacred Stream will be on your right, 2149 Byron
Street.

Delaware Street and go .3 miles. Turn left onto Curtis St and drive .3 miles. Turn
right onto Addison Street and drive 300 feet. Turn left onto Byron Street and
Sacred Stream is on your right.

and University Ave (7 min. walk). Board at Northeast corner of University and
Sacramento Street. Take #51B bus towards Seawall Dr. (westbound). Exit at
University Ave. and Curtis Street. It’s a 5-minute walk to Sacred Stream: Turn left at
Curtis and walk .08 miles. Turn right at Addison St and walk .06 miles to Byron
Street. Make a left at Byron and Sacred Stream will be on your left. For more

Strawberry Park is a great place to have lunch outside. Walk 3 blocks up (away from San
Pablo) to Bonar Street. Cross Bonar and there is an entrance to the park at the end of the
block. You’ll see trees, playground and path to the left. The park is about 3 blocks long
and opens onto a field where you can sit in the sun, or find a spot along the creek. The
park ends one block south of University Ave at Addison Street. You can also enter the
park on Addison at Bonar St.
