Iba Halal Care.
‘Halal’ is an Arabic word
that refers to things that are
permissible or allowed. It is
a universal parameter
designed for purity, health,
safety and benefit of all
regardless of faith or culture.
Launched by two Jain sisters — Mauli Teli and
Grishma Teli, Iba Halal
Care aims to offer ethical
cosmetic products to consumers that are rooted in
the science of Halal and
free of impurities such as
pig fat, gelatin, keratin and
other animal derived ingredients, alcohol and harsh
chemicals such as sulfates
and parabens that are commonly found in many popular products.
“A common misconception of Halal being limited to
food is diminishing globally
as consumers have become
aware of its true meaning
and its appeal as a symbol of

closet & look fab
give them your own style
by adding prints, designs
and embroidery that
reflects your personality.
For instance, guys can
take old plain tees and get
cartoons
of
quirky
designs, funnytag-lines
printed on them as these
kinds of tees are very
much in vogue. You can
shorten the length of
dad’s old kurtas and add
traditional prints on the
collar to add a touch of
tradition and style. Wide
buckled belts are a rage
again. Get a plain leather
belt, take the buckle out
from your dad’s belt and
add it on your belt. The
same can be done for girls
also. Girls can pair up
these belts on maxis,
short jumpsuits or even
short dresses. You can go
a little experimental by
adding your mom’s old
crochet bags. Play a little
with lace as they are also
making a big comeback.”

To make it trendier, tie a
knot at the end of the
shirt and roll up your
sleeves. Add gladiator
shoes, a sling bag, some
chunky bangles and you
are done. You can also
pull out your dad’s kurtas, get them restitched and
redesigned as per today’s
trendy cuts and wear them
over jeggings or fitted jeans.
You can also make one-piece
dresses or long floral dresses
from your mom’s floral
printed sarees, or better still
cut out the saree, convert it
into a stole and team it up on
casuals and formals.”

LAYER IT SMART
