Join us for a weekend at the Tides Inn, in Irvington, VA. This luxury
resort is located on the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail and near the
sustainable oyster farms of the Rappahannock River. Deluxe and

• The Terrace Lounge: Local oysters paired with

What to do
Sailing Away
Join us on a 3-hour lunch tour of the Rappahannock
River to the Rappahannock Oyster Company where
full-time watermen will explain the procreation and
harvesting of oysters and crabs and will demonstrate
cultivation of those in the Chesapeake Bay area.
You’ll taste several types of local oysters paired with
a glass of wine. Enjoy a box lunch from The Tides Inn
during the outing. Space is limited
Golf
A limited number of tee times have been reserved for Superior customers Saturday morning. The Tides Inn was ranked as one of America’s
Top 20 Southern Golf Resorts by Conde Nast Traveler. The 18-hole
Golden Eagle was designed by George W. Cobb who carved the
championship course out of a beautiful, wooded landscape around a
50-acre lake. The Golden Eagle measures 7,025 yards from the blue
tees and has a USGA rating of 73.9 and a slope of 136. Bermuda
fairways and bent grass putting surfaces play to a par of 72.

Nearby Wineries
The Dog and Oyster is less than a mile away. The name comes from
one of Aesop’s fables and honors the rescue dogs who protect the
grapes from deer and other animals, and, to honor the oyster, one of
the region’s natural assets. Tastings are $6 for 6 wines. Ride a bike or
take a shuttle to and from The Tides Inn.
Or, take a self-guided winery tour of Athena Vineyards; Jacey Vineyards, Good Luck
Cellars and The Dog and Oyster, all within 15 miles.
