The thick shag pile served as a warm bedding from the earth, while the flat woven Kelims were used as blankets to shield
them from the elements. The Cadry Collection of Moroccan rugs feature new flat weave kelim examples, original vintage
pile rugs, along with the Jan Kath MOROCCAN Collection that is available in custom sizes.
All are authentically hand knotted and woven with undyed hand spun, luscious woollen yarns.

He is considered to be one of the greatest
contemporary rug designers, renowned for
his innovative use of colour and distinctive
patterns but still using traditional methods.
Over the past few years Jan Kath design
has been honoured to receive numerous
awards at Domotex Hannover (German
international trade fair for the carpet
industry that attracts buyers internationally)
including the red dot award.
The classic patterns
remain mistily visible
like the smoke from
the genie’s lamp in
Aladdin.
ERASED CLASSICS
Jan Kath is a multi-award winning international
contemporary rug designer who has worked
in collaboration with some of the world’s most
illustrious design firms. The Erased Classics
Collection incorporates ornate motifs from
diverse origins such as opulent Italian wall
coverings to Indian saris.
These patterns form the basis for the Erased
Classics Collection in which the otherwise
strictly ordered ornamental elements are
broken up in a random manner as a design
imperfection, crafting an appearance that has
been obliterated, eroded, soaked with acid and
corroded. Sounds strange but looks amazing.
In the process of his original creativity, Jan
Kath has created an entirely new language
in texture and design. These superb rugs can
be commissioned in colour, materials, size,
and knot density and clients can also specify
the degree of erosion according to their
individual taste.

GRASS ILLUSIONS
The influence of nature has always been the prime
inspiration for the skilled craftsmanship of the pastoral
nomads. The primitive simple patterns from our
Illusions Collection are both organic and textural and
will lay a foundation that will set the mood from subtle
restrained earthy shades to vibrant neon bursts of
colours that will instantly transform any room.

Woven using Natural fibres, in sun light,
spun and knotted by hand. The only true
zero carbon foot print rug, as not 1 watt of
electricity is used in the making of this range.
The traditional skills and artistry of our
Nepalese weavers are combined with natural
materials such as hemp, undyed wool, nettle,
linen and silk, the result is a richly textured
and tactile rug that is not only a visual
delight but also extremely durable.
Cut or loop pile together with sumach flat
weave construction can be woven alone or
in combination to create wonderful textures
and patterns which further enhance their
character and appeal. The subtle variations
in the undyed natural fibres produce a subtle
patina that can soothe the senses.

This creative and artistic vision started with the
desire to recycle the timeless beauty and intrinsic
quality of damaged, worn, vintage carpets.
Collecting and salvaging interesting vintage
fragments and then hand stitching the pieces
together has resulted in a striking new form
of artistic expression and created an original
movement of colour, texture and design.
This revolutionary look has generated great
excitement among the design communities of Milan,
Paris and New York who have marvelled at their
versatility and ability to sit comfortably with both
contemporary and classic furniture and interiors.
The Vintage Reloaded Collection features
wholly intact carpets that are worn, sun faded
and then over-dyed (reloaded) to attain a vibrant,
chromatic appearance.
A carpet once traditional has now become a
contemporary work of art for the floor.

Designed by 4th generation rug addict,
Mark Cadry, Reflections is surely one of
the most perfect representations of the
interplay between water and light ever
to be rendered in hand-knotted Tibetan
Highland wool.
TASHI
To produce a hand made custom rug, 10%
extra wool is dyed to ensure this enough
yarn to make one full rug without having
to require multiple dye lots. Embodying
the mantra of reuse and recycle, this over
supply of wool, which would have once
been discarded, is sent to our Nepalese
warehouse where colours are carefully
selected to make our stunning range of
Tashi rugs.
Design wise this represents a new
direction in contemporary rugs. The
Tashi Collection is available in broad
to fine stripes. Hand knotted in pure
Tibetan wool or luscious pure silk, this
collection traverses the colour spectrum,
from strong hues, to neutral tones to a
multi-coloured masterpiece.
IT TAKES 50 different shades TO TRAVEL
from dusk to dawn
DUSK TO DAWN
A technical feat and master craftsmanship
is required to make this subtle shift in
tone. It takes more than 50 different lots
of exquisite wool, each dyed a few shades
apart from the one before to produce the
seamless transition of colour.
