Josh Larocque and Shane Matte, 2 local Ottawa lads were dead set on learning to make their own beer – and it ended up actually tasting pretty good. So good, in fact, that they kicked around the idea of opening their own craft brewery. It is then used for a second brew or to clean the brewery at the end of the day. The sparging arm -­‐ made to spin under water pressure at temperature – also powers the mash tun w ith hot water instead of hydro. Heat is reused from beer fermentation and pulled out through a closed loop cooling system made from an air conditioner and an old camping cooler.
