statement. The Habib legacy started with Jawed Habib’s grandfather Nazir Ahmed, who was a renowned
hair stylist of pre-indepence India styling some of the biggest historical names like Lord Mountbatten
(the last Viceroy of British India), Jawaharlal Nehru (India’s First Prime Minister) and numerous VVIPs of
the golden era.
Nazir's son Habib Ahmed traveled to England to learn the art of hair styling. After his studies Habib
Ahmed traveled back to India to explore the emerging India that was opening up for a fashionable
lifestyle. Like his father he continued serving the celebrated names like Mrs. Indira Gandhi
(Prime Minister of India) and other renowned celebrities. Habib Ahmed turned entrepreneur with his first

Jawed's optimistic and amazing zest for life has

After studying Hair Coloring & Setting and
Dressing Out course in London's Morris School of
Hair Design, Jawed came back to India to
introduce 'Hair Color' fashion to young India. His
believe and consistent effort through 'hair styling
with color' workshops made 'hair color fashion'
acceptable and fashionable across classes and
masses of India.
Credit to him hair fashion has now come to the
forefront in India. Making a hair-fashion

After introducing Color to India, Jawed Habib challenged himself to master
the art of quick cuts. This made him work and win a stunning record of
performing 410 non-stop haircuts in 25 hours and 42 minutes. With this
master stroke he has invented the FAST DRY HAIRCUT in India. This idea is
today extended as a business venture called JH Hairxpreso with hundreds
of quick dry haircut salons spread across India.
When at work, Jawed's hands and scissors move with remarkable
perfection and within a matter of a few minutes, the client who had offered
his/her hair to his responsible creative hands, emerges with a breathtaking
stylish look. For his lightning fast creative haircuts Jawed is at times
referred as the Edward Scissors (the famous English movie); a man having
magical scissors instead of his fingers.

Looking at the passionate young Jawed Habib educating and promoting Hair Styling with
Color various Hair & Care product and service companies started approaching him to promote
their products/services. This got noticed by the cosmetics and personal hair care giant
Hindustan Unilever (Indian arm of Unilever) who appointed him as the Brand Ambassador
for its biggest hair brand 'Sunsilk'. With over 12 years as a Brand Ambassador and endless Hair
Styling workshops conducted across India, Jawed became the most sort after name for
promoting not only Hair Care and Cosmetic products but also other FMCG products.
Jawed’s experience with Unilver (Sunsilk Hair Care products) gave him excellent exposure
towards developing and marketing products. Soon, Jawed was on the product development

Of Hairdressing, London and completed his further study of Trichology from London School
Of Fashion. He has a year's experience with Robert Fielding, one of the leading salons in

Sunsilk. So far he has organized numerous Hair Shows and Workshops for brands like Godrej,
L'Oreal, Organics, Salon International & Sunsilk, Self-grooming classes for Sahara Airlines

color, type, age, texture etc. Jawed says, “I know hair so well that I literally talk to them and I
