In the matter of the installation of an Auto Fire Apparatus for the City which was discussed at length by
the Council and referred to the Fire Committee.

February 2, 1914, City Meeting:
The Fire Committee composed of Councilman Culin, Sullinger and Litt submitted their reports to the
City Council .Councilman Sullinger and Litt recommended the purchase of a Hale Combination Chemical engine and hose wagon mounted on a Velie truck, the price of same being $5,500.00 installed here
with a guaranteed of five years. Councilman Culin report was for a six-cylinder engine with great power. Mr. Ronstadt and Mr. L. Haguin appeared before the Council in behalf of their Company and discussed the merits of their machine at length. On motion of Councilman Bernard the majority report of
the Fire Committee was adopted all present voting aye except Councilman Culin who voted nay.
On motion duly made seconded and carried the Mayor, City Attorney, Councilman Litt and Culin were
appointed a Committee to pass on the contract and guarantee that the company selling the machine
proposed to offer the City.
Resolution 316, Fixing salaries of City Clerk, Fire Chief and Night Police Sergeant. On motion duly
made seconded and carried Resolution 316 was approved, adopted and passed all present voting aye.
