TOTAL GDI ACADEMY
DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVE:
These programs are designed to provide skill development intangibles through realistic progressions that
pertain to Power Skating and Skills.
The Rink Training Centre's Brandon Advanced Summer Skills Camp (ADV2) was developed to provide
players with detailed instruction in the foundational skills that they need to play the game. With this in
mind the ADV2 program will provide players the opportunity to develop both Skating skills and puck skills
through a focused progression on Power Skating, and fundamental skills of the game.
The Brandon Summer Camps are conducted out of The Brandon Sportsplex at – 30 Knowlton Drive,
Brandon, Manitoba. The RINK accepts a total of 18 athletes/group to participate in each of these
programs. Players should be motivated & willing to compete against other players at a high level.
TYPICAL DAY: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
COACH/ATHLETE RATIO: 1:6
MAXIMUM STUDENTS: 18/Group
Group 1 – DOB - 2005-2006
Group 2 – DOB – 2003-2004
DAILY STRUCTURE:
2 x 75 Minute On Ice Sessions - 3 Skill Components Covered/Session
25 Minutes Power Skating Instruction + 25 Minutes Skills + 25 Minutes Tactical Drills
2 x 30 Minute Boardroom Style Lectures

1 x 45 Minute Dry land Component
1 x 45 Minute Team Building Session
High Intensity Reps
ADDITIONAL OFFERING FOR 2016 CAMP:
1 X 75 Minute TESTify Performance Testing Session
TESTify Performance Sessions: TESTify Performance will be administrating on-ice
testing with the use of a state of the art measuring system.
Players - Speed, acceleration, multi-directional agility, directional transition speed, and
reaction time will all be measured.
These tests will help players evaluate strengths and weaknesses in which they can focus on
while working with The Rink Professionals.
This will take place on Wednesday, July 20 , 2016
