Our Stylists
Haymes stylist Wendy Rennie, Colour and Concept Manager, and interior stylist
Ruth Welsby, have come together to inspire you with their interpretations of the
Haymes 2015 Colour Forecast.
Wendy Rennie
Wendy is an experienced colour stylist with a background in fine art and has a
love for colour, painting and creativity. Her unique and intimate understanding of
colour, in particular the Haymes colour range, enables her to transform emerging
trends into various palettes directly related to the market.
“As much as trends come and go, the importance of being true to your own sense
of style should always be at the forefront of any decorating or renovating job,”
Wendy says.
Ruth is a Melbourne based interior stylist and writer who has a passion for
colour and form. Her work has been featured in Home Beautiful, Belle, Real
Living, House & Garden, Inside Out, Elle Decoration (UK), Home Journal (HK),
Contemporary Home Design, Urbis (NZ), Ideal Home (UK), House & Garden
(UK), Kitchens, Bedrooms and Bathrooms (UK) and The Sunday Age. Haymes is
excited to be working with Ruth on a number of projects over the coming months.

Trend Inspiration
The Haymes 2015 Colour Forecast themes are inspired from international and national trends, as well as our visit to
Maison & Objet Paris.
We are very excited to introduce the five trends that make up the 2015 Colour Expressions Forecast by Haymes and
hope you will love them as much as we do.
The inspiration behind the 2015 Colour Forecast comes from an increased awareness to feel comfortable and secure
within our homes. Throughout each forecast look, the varying materials and colour palettes used reflect this concept of
wanting to feel safe and relaxed within a space, providing a contemporary yet soothing setting.
The 2015 Colour Forecast sees a shift in colour direction, as we move towards softer palettes. This is demonstrated
in the two themes Raw and New Skin where you will see a palette of solid and dependable colours. The exploration of
natural tones leads to the development of lush greens and dusty pinks, which is illustrated in the themes Rhythmic
Palms and Exotic Botanic, both echoing the diversity of nature. In stark contrast, Relaxed Replay brings together feel
good brights that take us back to the retro era.

Exotic Botanic takes us back to our roots, provoking
a reawakening of the senses, returning to nature and
exploring the vibrant beauty it has to offer. In the
hustle and bustle of the world today, it’s important
to take a moment to reconnect. The hypnotic colour
palette of this theme creates depth and opulence,
revitalising even the simplest of spaces.

rhythmic palms
Rhythmic Palms explores the notion of escapism and
replenishment through a deep, rich palette that amplifies
colour and pattern. Combining dark charcoals and lush
Pale Mushroom 3
greens, Rhythmic Palms explores new beginnings from a
tiny budding flower in the densest of jungles, to the first
drop of water in a hidden oasis. This theme presents a
fresh and crisp take on the ambiguity of what lies beneath
the treetops. Rhythmic Palms captures and exaggerates
the scale of the environment to make a real statement

in the home. Playing on jungle-like motifs, oversized
patterns and saturated colours this theme encapsulates

an instinctive and primitive aesthetic.

Cha rlotte
Relaxed Replay takes on a nostalgic feel, stepping
back in time with a vibrant, bold and effervescent
palette. Influenced by Miami Beach and psychedelic
patterning, this retro revival theme looks at finding joy
in the simple things in life. Exploring spontaneity, this

New Skin travels from mineral pastels through

to deep blues and greys, illustrating the natural
erosion that comes with overuse just like a pair of
jeans. This relaxed, cool theme explores denim
textures and colours, as they translate through
to the home. The palette provides an easy living,

Every year the Haymes team develops key themes for the
Haymes 2015 Colour Expressions Forecast based on research
from international and national trends in design and interiors
which are then interpreted into an Australian colour palette.
Using the Haymes 2015 Colour Expressions Forecast as a source
of inspiration, you can create your own style, drawing on the five
themes. By choosing one main colour as a focus you can easily
tone down or brighten up any of the looks, adding accessories
and furniture where needed, creating the perfect personalised
space.
