Jow Ga Kuen is Melbourne’s
first traditional Jow Ga Kung
Fu school.
It was established by Sifu
Tseng Gong Seng in 1987,
and relaunched by his grandson Frank Lam on May, 2013.
We aim to preserve and
spread the art of Lion Dance,
Dragon Dance and Kung Fu
throughout Australia.
Our goal is to highlight the
skills and diversity of Lion
Dance, Dragon Dance and
Kung Fu to the general
public. We actively promote

Lion Dance
Single, Double or Triple Lion Performance
Choose from one, two or three lions to
bless and perform for your venue or event.
Buddha & the Lion Routine
The Buddha awakens the Lion and
then proceeds to tame it.
Wedding Performance
Double Lions to wish the Bride and Groom
a blissful marriage. The performance on
your wedding day will definitely give your
guests a pleasant surprise!
Drunken Lion Routine
The Lion finds a casket of wine and
proceeds to drink it all, causing the
Lion to get drunk.
Lion Conquering the Peak
A single Lion climbing and dancing high
up on a vertical 4-5m bamboo pole. This
requires more than 8-10 performers at
the base of the bamboo for both stability and the safety of our performers.
Elevated Lion Dance Parade
Jow Ga style Lion Dancing requires
7-10 people carrying a round disk in
which the lion is atop, creating a lion
dance performance both spectacular
and majestic.
Mass Lion Dance Performance
Have up to 30 Lions for your grand

for the finale.
