Gentle on pets
Mode of action
contains Oxibendazole and Praziquantel. Oxibendazole acts by
inhibiting or destroying cytoplasmic microtubules in the nematode
intestinal or absorptive cells. This in turn inhibits glucose uptake by the
parasites and consequently depletion of glycogen stores leading to death
of the worms up to several days later.
Worms die by being unable to absorb glucose and subsequent
depletion of glycogen stores.
> As the worms die slowly in situ there is less chance of gastrointestinal
upsets in treated animals.
> Clients will not be upset by live worms being expelled.
Palatable All-Wormers
> This gentle mode of action enables
to be used on puppies and kittens from two weeks of age, ensuring
early treatment of roundworms.
Table of efficacy
Studies performed in Australia treating dogs with a single dose of Oxibendzole
at 22.5mg/kg as a combination wormer with Praziquantel (5mg/kg), confirm
the efficacy against roundworms (ascarids), hookworms and whipworms1
