Guided Cycling
Join our small group cycling adventure on the isolated
south-western shores of Lake Wakatipu.
Once you have met your experienced guide and been
equipped with mountain bikes, your day commences with
a cruise from Queenstown on board the vintage steamship
TSS Earnslaw.
On disembarking at Walter Peak you are then driven by van
to Mavora Lakes. As you drive past grazing sheep and cattle,
learn about local farming.
What to bring - Guided Cycling
Day pack, drinks, snacks, shoes / boots (non slip), waterproof
jacket, warm sweater / fleece jacket, sunscreen, sunglasses,
sunhat, insect repellent and a camera.
We provide
Mountain bikes and safety helmets (guided cycling only).
Then cycle the quiet country road through beech forest and
open tussock grasslands. Along the way enjoy stunning views
of the Von River, surrounding mountains and snow-covered
Mount Earnslaw at the head of Lake Wakatipu.
