Frequently Asked Questions
1.
How much improvement will I get - in terms of Power & Fuel Economy?
Power
For your convenience we have given increments of power improvements
P1-off-peak upto 20%, peak upto 15% increase in power and torque,
P2-Off peak upto 40% and peak upto 30% increase in power and torque,
Efficiency
We have separate mode for economy (E Mode) only, on which customers have seen an increase in mileage anywhere
between 5-35% depending on traffic, driving habits, Etc.
Please note this mode enhances efficiency only when driving style is smooth, gentle and gradual speed increments.
P1 mode also increases mileage for almost all driving styles, upto 10% - 25% depending on driving styles. As this
mode increases power, due to reduced gearshifts and quicker upshifts, the mileage also increases.
Drivability
P1 and P2 are a more drivable than original, with power starting much earlier on in the powerband along with
reduced turbo lag.
2.
Will the box void my vehicle warranty?
No. But please ensure the tuning box is removed before the vehicle visits dealerships for service/repairs, as the
warranty may be void if the vehicle is found to have any aftermarket non-OEM product installed.
3.
Are there any associated problems after installation?
No, we have covered Lakhs of kilometres testing the product, with customers using it every day in every possible
condition without facing any problems.
4.
Are there any other performance modifications you would like to suggest? How much will it cost me?
The car responds better with an aftermarket air filter.
5.
Where are you guys located?
We are located in Koramangala, Bangalore.
6.
Can I use the same DieselTRONIC unit on my new car?
You can use it again if you have purchased a vehicle with common rail direct injection system. However you will have
to get the same unit reprogrammed and may have to purchase a new wiring harness if necessary.
7.
What about maintenance?
100% maintenance-free and has no serviceable parts, just plug in and enjoy.
8.
Will my maximum speed change?
No, it does not modify the speed governor. DieselTRONIC only increases torque and power.
9.
What if I don’t get Fuel Efficiency (Mileage)?
Please use the box for a couple of full-tanks in P1 and E mode. You will have increased mileage in E if your driving is
smooth, gradual and not heavy, and P1 for all other driving styles.
As the vehicle becomes more responsive, fun and powerful to drive, many customers may involuntarily drive their
vehicles much harder than before, which might not result in substantial increase in mileage.
10
