The City of Plymouth Downtown Development Authority, in conjunction with the City of
Plymouth, is embarking on a major project to make upgrades to Kellogg Park and update the
water fountain in the center of the park.
The last major renovation for Kellogg Park was 50 years ago when Plymouth celebrated its 100th
anniversary. The newest plan is to have the upgrades completed by July 2017, in time for the
city’s 150th celebration.
This is a project that could cost in the vicinity of $1-million, and will be a community funded
venture. Improvements to Kellogg Park 50 years ago were completed with support from the
community, and this upgrade will focus on the same pattern.
The DDA has contracted with Russell Designs, a Northville landscape architect, and WESCO
Fountains of North Venice, Florida, to begin designing upgrades to Kellogg Park and a new
fountain. Below is information that was presented at a recent DDA workshop on the fountain to
show some preliminary ideas for the renovations.
Until final designs are approved, the Plymouth Downtown Development Authority and City of
