Italy is a nation that cherishes outward appearances. Yes, it is great if you have a
good heart, but Italians would expect you to have well-groomed hair, an impeccable
sense of dressing and a really expensive pair of shoes . So it is no wonder that some of
the world's best fashion designers are from Italy. Just like Guccio Gucci, Donatella
Versace, Domenico Dolce& Stefano Gabbana, Miuccia Prada.

Gianni Versace
(December 2, 1946 – July 15, 1997)
was founder of Versace S.p.A. ,
an international fashion house,
which produces accessories,
fragrances, make up
and home furnishings as well as clothes.
Versace was shot dead on July 15, 1997,
after his death, his sister,
Donatella, became the new head of design.

Dolce & Gabbana
Dolce & Gabbana,
is an Italian fashion house.
The company was started in 1985,
by the Domenico Dolce
and Stefano Gabbana in Milan.
The company produces clothes,
cosmetics and perfumes.

Prada S.p.A. is an Italian fashion label
specializing in luxury goods for men and women
(ready-to-wear, leather accessories,
shoes, luggage and hats),
founded by Mario Prada in 1913.
His wife, Luisa was first creative director.
Her daughter,
Miuccia, joined the company in 1970,
eventually taking over for her mother in 1978.

Spanish Steps
The Spanish Steps serve as the backdrop for many displays and events
throughout the year in Rome, including extraordinary floral displays in the
spring, a nativity scene at Christmas, and a fashion show called Donna Sotto
le Stelle in the summer.

Milano Fashion Week
Milan Fashion Week (it: Settimana della moda) is a famous fashion
week held semi-annually in Milan, Italy. Spring/Summer event held in
February - March of each year and Autumn/Winter event held in
September - October of each year. Fashion Week is a performance,
and media event. It attracts famous musicians and celebrities,
and ordinary people have to buy special passes to watch the shows.
