Configuring Your MX Records
for SpamTitan Cloud

General Steps for Setting Up MX Records:
• Sign in to your domain's account at your domain host.
• Locate the page for updating your domain's DNS records.
The page might be called something like DNS Management, Name Server
Management, or Advanced Settings.
• Locate the MX records for your domain. You may already have one or more MX records
resembling:
• Update the existing MX records to point to SpamTitan’s mail servers by entering these
values: cloud3.spamtitan.com ; cloud4.spamtitan.com
• If necessary, create new MX records to include a record for each server listed on this
page.
• Delete any MX records not pointing to our servers, or give them a lower priority than
the SpamTitan server records.
• Save your changes and wait until they take effect.

Host Specific Instructions for Setting Up MX Records:
cPanel MX Records
Log in to the cPanel administrative console.
• From the Mail section of the page, select MX Entry.
• In the Email Routing box, select Remote Mail Exchanger and click Change.
• Include the following MX record values: cloud3.spamtitan.com ;
cloud4.spamtitan.com
• Click Add New Record.
• To add MX records for the additional servers, repeat steps 4 to 6 for those servers.
• Give backup servers a lower priority than the primary email server.
Yahoo MX Records
• Log in to the administrative console for your domain. To log in, go to http://
smallbusiness.yahoo.com,click the Sign in to Small Business button, and enter the
• Yahoo ID and password for your administration account.
• Select Domain from the toolbar near the top of the page.
• Click Manage Advanced DNS Settings.
• Click Change MX Records.
• Include the following MX record values: cloud1.spamtitan.com ;
cloud4.spamtitan.com
• Click Submit.

GoDaddy MX Records
To manually create MX records for a domain hosted by GoDaddy:
• Log in to your account at http://www.godaddy.com by clicking the My Account tab.
• Under the Domains header, find the domain you're using with SpamTitan. Click
(Advanced Details) to the right of this domain.
• Under the DNS Manager header, click Launch.
• In the MX (Mail Exchanger) section, click Quick Add.
• Include the following MX record values cloud3.spamtitan.com ; cloud4.spamtitan.com,
with an @ sign in the Host field and the destination in the Points to field.
• Once you've added all five MX records in the table, click Save Zone File at the top or
the bottom of the page.
HostGator MX Records
• Log in to your HostGator cPanel account.
• In the Mail section, click MX Entry.
• If you have more than one domain, select the domain you're using with SpamTitan—
look for this under the Domain heading.
• Under Email Routing, select Remote Mail Exchanger.
• Click the Change button.
• In the Add New Record section, include the following MX record values:
cloud3.spamtitan.com ; cloud4.spamtitan.com.

BT Broadband MX Records
• Log in to your account with BT broadband office. You'll need to log in as the
primary user of the account by clicking Manage your domain name.
• Access the Domain Management Console in the BT Business Your Account area.
• Select the Domain Maintenance tab.
• Choose the domain name you're using with SpamTitan
• Delete any existing MX records.
• Select MX from the first drop-down.
• Include the MX record values cloud3.spamtitan.com ; cloud4.spamtitan.com,
including the name in the key value field and the value in the Value.
• Click Go.
• Repeat for each SpamTitan MX record.
Blacknight MX Records
To configure MX records for this domain provider:
• Sign in to your account at: cp.blacknight.com
• Click Registered Domains.
• Select Manage DNS for the domain you are trying to verify.
• Click the DNS tab.
• Click the DNS Records tab.
• Select Add New DNS Record.
• In the pulldown menu for DNS Record Type, select MX.
• Enter you’re the following MX record in the field marked Mail exchanger
cloud3.spamtitan.com ; cloud4.spamtitan.com
• Click Finish.
