Ghetto Weekend
E
njoy a weekend of wine and food
in the Central Coast at the Alisal
Wine Ghetto Weekend (October 2527). Celebrate California Harvest with a
harvest party at the Lompoc Wine Ghetto,
an industrial park housing 19 tastings
rooms for world-class wine from the Santa
Rita Hills AVA and other nearby areas.
Participating wineries include Palmina,
Zotovich Cellars, Longoria and Samsara.
Alisal Guest Ranch will serve as the “base
camp” for the weekend which includes
a Friday evening wine reception and
BBQ Dinner. On Saturday, the day will
begin with a hay wagon Breakfast Ride
before heading to the Wine Ghetto for
a Harvest Festival. Guests will enjoy
food and wine, as well as barrel and tank
samples, production tours and wine crush.
The day will end with a Winemaker
Dinner prepared by Alisal Executive
Chef, Pascal Gode, paired with the wines
of the participating winemakers. The
weekend will end with a Farewell Sunday
Brunch featuring Palmina Sparkling
Wine Mimosas. The weekend includes
accommodation for 3 days/2 nights, meals
and wine pairings and a full day of wine
tasting and socializing with local wine
makers. ■
