People is a 3-part documentary
created by filmmaker Sheldon
Wolfchild. Come join the preview
showing of Part 2, “The Doctrine
of Discovery,” that focuses on a
little-known subject traced back
to Christopher Columbus’s socalled “discovery” of the lands now
commonly known as “the Americas.”
This doctrine remains the Supreme
Law of the Land in the U.S. Come
learn the role of this ancient
doctrine in our laws, our language,
the U.S. governmental system, and
its negative effects on Indigenous
Peoples today.
This free event is being held in conjunction with the 2013 OVERCOMING RACISM CONFERENCE:
