March is here and so you know what that means?? It is time to pull out all
your green clothing and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! What’s that, you don’t
have anything in green; well you can fix that by going to the Golf Shop to
purchase the latest and greatest and in Green too!!
March also brings us our time change. Please make sure to set your clocks
ahead when you go to bed on Saturday March 7th. The bad news is we all
lose an hour of sleep but the good news is we have another hour in our day
to play golf—Yahoo!
Also, Have you seen our new commercial on TV yet? If no was your answer
then keep watching and you will see it soon. It is airing now on KSBW
Channel 8 on Comcast or on Direct TV also on Channel 8. We wanted to
showcase all of our new changes on a large scale so everyone can see all
the great things that are going on at the club. We also wanted to let everyone know that The Club at Crazy Horse Ranch is a real place and not just a
figment of people’s imagination. It is true—Dreams do come true!!!!
Some important dates/events to make note of in the month of March:
The Ranch Buffet – 4th
Daylight Savings starts—8th
Men’s Association 8-Man Tournament vs. Tehama—12th

CHARLIE CULVER JUNIOR MASTERS
This year is another milestone for the Charlie Culver tournament
as we have reached the 60th anniversary. The committee has had
it's first meeting to put together plans for making this tournament
something special. We have a newly remodeled and decorated
clubhouse, Pro Shop, great golf course and an awesome group of
members, so lets “Show it off”.
I am awaiting final confirmation that JGANC will be in attendance this year as we are a “Premier Tournament” on their calendar, and they would like to help us celebrate.
In order not to conflict with July 4th we will be moving back a week, so save these dates.
Monday and Tuesday June 29th and 30th.
To the volunteers who have been doing this tournament for years, I hope you can be there again
this year. It makes my job much easier knowing I have a great group of people working with me.
As the “Culver” is known for providing a scorer for each group participating, I'm hoping to reach
that goal once again this year.
Sign-up sheets will be posted in the Pro Shop shortly, so please sign up as soon as possible if you
are available. To all our new members who would like to participate please contact me with your
questions. There is a new listing for “utility” volunteers. This will cover many odd jobs like
assisting with the putting contest for the young players, selling or taking tickets for the lunch, being a floater and many other things. This is a good place for any non-golfers. Volunteers will
once again be provided with breakfast and lunch both days.
This is the perfect year to update our uniforms. We selected Red with khaki pants or shorts for
this year. It looks classy and helps the players and families know who we are. So please see
Johnnie in the Pro Shop to place your order. We're trying to keep the cost to a minimal price
around $20.00. Once again we will have the sleeve embroidered.
We will need bottled water both days for the players and volunteers. It would be nice to have
apples and bananas that can be carried as well as snack packs for the players. To help off-set our
costs, even salad greens, tomatoes, onions etc. would be appreciated. So if any of you have some
contacts for donations like these, it would be wonderful to get their help.
I will keep you updated as we move forward. Registration will begin on April1,2015.
We are sticking to a limited number of players so hopefully we will fill up quickly.

Dear Members,
When you walk into our General Store you will always see a lot of new and exciting products to add to your personal collection. So where do you begin? Let me give you a quick review on what is available right now! And don’t forget…ALL
Members receive 20% off the regular retail price!
Callaway Golf – As you are all aware, we carry all the latest and greatest from Callaway Golf. We currently have the NEW
Callaway XR Golf Clubs which replaces the popular X Hot series. These are great golf clubs that will be sure to add a few
extra yards to your drives. Not convinced? We have demo clubs for you to test out and also mark your calendars for the
Callaway Demo Day on March 22nd! The most popular golf ball in the market is the Callaway Chrome Supersoft. This ball
fits everyone from the high handicap golfer to your PGA Tour Professional. Everyone who plays this ball is
blown away by its performance. Ask our General Manager Ed Winiecki, he currently plays it! Callaway not
only has great golf equipment, they have an awesome apparel line as well. All Callaway apparel is crafted
by well known Perry Ellis. With this partnership you will see sophisticated designs and colors as well as a
sleek fit that does not sacrifice performance. We carry a full line of men, ladies, and outerwear to meet
every ones needs.
TaylorMade/Adidas/Ashworth – Similar to Callaway, the products we carry in the TaylorMade/Adidas line range from golf
equipment to apparel. In golf equipment we present the latest from TaylorMade in the R15 and Aeroburner series. The
R15 is the next generation of the highly successful SLDR. The Aeroburner brings back the old TaylorMade Burner from a
few years ago as the distance driver without all the bells and whistles of adjustability. The golf balls for 2015 have not
changed as they still have the Tour Preferred, Tour Preferred X, and Project A. These are their 3 golf balls that we carry in
the General Store. I play the Tour Preferred X and would be happy to discuss its performance with you. For apparel we
stock Adidas and Ashworth. The Adidas line showcases the lightweight performance material with ClimaCool and Climalite. These materials will wear well in the warmer weathers and is extremely lightweight. For people who do not prefer those performance materials and love the feel of cotton, Ashworth is the shirt for you. We carry a small line of Ashworth that is conservative with a soft feel.
We remind you that if Callaway or TaylorMade are not your equipment of choice, we can
always special order other brands for you! We have already done special orders for our
Members from Cobra Puma, PING, Titleist, and Tour Edge. Just because it is not in the
shop, does not mean we cannot get it for you!
One thing that you will notice at The Club at Crazy Horse Ranch is that we strive to carry new and exciting brands that you
will not see at any retail store. We always want to be ahead the game. With that said, here are a few of our exciting
labels that we carry…
Haus of Grey - This is a brand that you will definitely know in 2015. Haus of Grey is the brainchild who developed the now
popular Travis Matthew Apparel and will be sure to take the PGA Tour by storm this year as the new kid on the block.
Haus of Grey has a very similar look to his past creation but has branched out into two categories…Matte Grey for men, and Heather Grey for women. The colors are rich and the style reaches out to all ages. What you will notice that
stands out with Haus of Grey is the remarkable feel of the clothing. It is hard to
describe…you just have to come here and feel for yourself.
Linksoul – Linksoul is another brand that has been out quietly for a few years and has been doing very well. Linksoul is designed by John Ashworth who created the well-known Ashworth line. Linksoul is perfect for the golfer
who still prefers the cotton feel instead of the lightweight performance fabrics. Linksoul design and color
scheme are very conservative similar to his past Ashworth line. John Ashworth is an avid surfer in Carlsbad and the colors that he uses mirror that of the ocean, beach, and warm colors. Linksoul delivers that
“Clean” look.

Continued from page 4
Greg Norman – When it comes to golf apparel, Greg Norman is a brand that has been around for
years and always highly successful. Greg Norman’s style is not too conservative and not too crazy. It is just right. The classic fit is awesome and avoids those cuts that are sometimes too form-fitting.
Cutter & Buck – Just like Greg Norman, Cutter & Buck is a veteran in the golf apparel. We carry a strong
line of Cutter & Buck ranging from outerwear to the ladies line by Annika Sorenstam. I noticed that our
Cutter & Buck vests were a hit for many members and will be sure to continue to carry vests in other
colors.
JoFit & Sansoleil– JoFit and Sansoleil for women is a unique performance fabric line. These lines were designed for
women who play golf, tennis, run, yoga, and workout. The material is light and breathable. Sansoleil is a great product
for those who want to also protect themselves from the sun. With SPF 50 built into Sansoleil,
you will be sure to defend yourself against the harmful UV rays!
This is just a few of the lines that we carry in the
General Store and it is always changing. We are always thinking of new
things and they don’t always have to be “Golf Specific”! For example, we
have logo wine racks, glassware, cigars, key chains, and luggage! Keep an eye out for license plates, digital frames, pet
leashes, and more with The Club at Crazy Horse logo on them! It’s crazy!!!!
Need a place to store your clubs???

Robtown Review
Well I've been here at Crazy Horse for just over a week now and am truly humbled at the welcome I've received
from both the membership and the staff. There is an unmistakable positive energy at Crazy Horse that that made it
clear to me early on that I'd made the right decision in coming here. Thank you to all of you for making me feel welcome!
I would like to make you aware of some upcoming clinics that I think you'll enjoy.
I'll be conducting both a Men's and Ladies Short Game Clinics in March.

The Ladies Clinic will be conducted on March 28

May 23 - Ladies Clinic
Sign ups for these clinics will be made available soon.
For my first golf tip here at Crazy Horse I'd like to touch on the importance of rhythm and
tempo which in my mind is the foundation of any
good golf swing. Through out every lesson I give I'm
always reminding my players to maintain rhythm no
matter what we are working on. One of the most
effective ways I have found to establish or find
rhythm is to work on three quarter shots on the driving range. If you hit your 8 iron 150 yds try hitting it
130 yards. You will find that in order to execute this
shot you must swing in rhythm and what I call in sequence. By in sequence I mean that the upper body
does not out race the lower body on the down swing, also known as swinging from the
top. Remember that you will never see a good golf swing with bad rhythm or a bad golf
swing with good rhythm. Establish good rhythm and tempo and you are ahead of the
curve.
If I can help your game or in any other way please do not hesitate to let me know.
I look forward to seeing each of you out at Crazy Horse!
Your New “Head Golf Pro”
Rob Hayes
