Alii from Palau! It has been a blessed, but busy
summer. One of the highlights was the week we
spent reaching out to our community through
Mega Sports Camp (MSC). MSC was a huge
success through the help of individuals in our
church, a missions team from Saipan, and also
some U.S. soldiers from the local Seabees
team. We also received many great donations
from many of you that enabled us to reach the
kids of our community on an even greater level.
MSC was a two-fold blessing: 1) we presented
the gospel to over 50 kids, and many received
Jesus; 2) the heart of outreach and ministry to
children was captured by all those who
participated. We praise God for the lives that
were changed through this wonderful week.
We want to also thank God for the opportunities
He has given us to minister in the schools. By
the end of the school year we were able to get
into five of the major elementary schools. We
were also invited to come speak at the library
summer camp, which had kids from other
schools we haven’t been able to get to yet. God
has truly opened the doors for us to share Jesus
openly with the students of Palau!
We have just come back from an amazing
time in Chiang Mai, Thailand for the Asia
Pacific Retreat. How refreshing it was to
be among so many great missionaries,
national leaders, and God’s beautiful
presence! As a region we are under a
fresh vision that was launched at retreat.
The title is: “Spend Yourself”. We were
challenged to spend our time, our money,
our resources to reach those who have
not yet heard the gospel and for those
who have been forgotten. For the first
time, we encountered someone who had
never heard the name of Jesus, while at
the retreat. Nick was able to share the
gospel with a taxi driver named “Peter”.
He had no idea who Jesus was, though
now he does, and we were reminded why
the work of reaching the lost is so
important...Will you “Spend Yourself” and
do whatever it takes to reach the
unreached and forgotten?
