KiPS summer success
Seventy-seven eligible Central Noble district kindergarteners participated in the NCPL and Central Noble
Schools sponsored KiPS program—a weekly preparatory program to help boost kindergarten readiness.
With assistance from NCPL employees, CN teachers
instructed the kids in the summer-long curriculum. It is
the fourth year for the program.

DATABASES: We purchase or have access to many databases that provide high
quality, verified information. The following URL will take you to our online database page to get you started. http://

A few you may find useful are:
INSPIRE: Where you can find full text articles from many leading journals and newspapers as you research specific topics.
A to Z USA: facts and history about the
United States.
WORLD DIGITAL LIBRARY: Access to numerous world cultural artifacts, documents
are difficult to find anywhere else.
DEDICATED COMPUTERS: Let us know if
you are working on a school project or
job searching and we will assign you to a
computer with NO time limits.
PROCTORED EXAMS: We work with a
variety of colleges and offer you proctored exam services so that you do not
have to travel to take exams - saving you
gas and time. This is a free service that
we gladly provide.
PERSONAL SERVICE: And of course we
offer you staff support and guidance
when you aren’t sure where to start or
how to find that elusive piece of information you desperately need!

Snack Drive 2012
Have overdue library fines?
Pay them off and support you local programming
department! Monday, September 10th through
Saturday, September 15th.
Noble County Public Libraries East, West and Central will
accept your non-perishable food donation and take $3
off overdue library fines for each item donated. Please
note that all items must be store-bought, pre-packaged,
unopened and within the expiration date. Patron must still
pay fees on lost or damaged items. Fines forgiven under
this policy shall only be for overdue fees on materials that
have been returned.

1 box of cheese crackers
(Cheezits or Goldfish)
1 bag of animal crackers
Fruit snacks

Libraries of Noble County sponsored a booth at this
year’s Kid City at the Noble County Fairgrounds in Kendallville providing plenty of fun and learning with spiderthemed activities. Spider crafts, a live tarantula and face
painting were just part of the unique experience.
