1. Disconnect the negative terminal from battery
2. Disconnect the ETM plug(It has a notch, so don’t use force, use a flat screw to bend
a bit the notch). Figure 1
3. Remove the air inlet pipe. Figure 2
4. The ETM has 4 screws, remove them. Figure 3
5. Remove the cover, slide a knife across the ridges, then use flat screw to take it off.

6. Start removing the green putty from both sides, until you can see the TPS leads.

7. DO NOT TOUCH THE 5 PINS TPS!!! It has 2 wires of the ETM motor that are
connected to the 5 pins TPS, Only the it’s 2nd pin as described further. only if you
use my procedure, which is not described here, it’s a bit harder & aren’t
recommended for first time.
8. Use your favor tool to disconnect the 3 pins old TPS, you can use precopster
procedure “drilled it apart with a 2.5mm drill” Figure 9 & the same procedure for
the 2nd lead counting from left of the 5 old TPS. Figure 10
9. Unscrew the 4 screws of the old 3 pins TPS & take the TPS out. Figure 11
10. Cut the shaft using precopster procedure “with a high speed stone cutting tool”.
Figure 12 Don’t forget to give it a good clean after that for any metal particles left.
(Or you can use my procedure, involving taking the motor out including the 5 pins
TPS, which I don’t recommend for you first ETM rebuild)
11. Don’t cut the shaft too much, Don’t cut the carvings!!! , The cut should be just
where the carving ends, simply, leave only the carvings!
12. Unscrew the nut from the shaft. Figure 13 Figure 14 Figure 15
13. Put the magnet from the kit, into the shaft. Figure 16
14. Insert the nut to the shaft through the magnet & screw it firmly. Figure 17

15. Run the wire through the hole where the 3 leads are. Figure 19
16. Put the new TPS in place carefully & Screw the 4 screws to the new TPS firmly.

17. Solder the wire to the 2nd pin from left on the 5 leads of the ETM leads (Not the TPS
leads). Make sure you don’t short with excessive solder between any leads, it can
damage the electric board. Make sure you don’t Heat the pins with the solder
iron for long time, it can damage the electric board, heat up to 5 Seconds with a
pause of 15 seconds between each pin. Figure 22
18. Solder the 3 pins of the new TPS to the 3 leads of the ETM, again careful not to
short any & be careful with the solder iron not to damage the isolation of the wire.
Figure 23 (I suggest using leaded solder & flux (recommended) for all the solders)
19. Secure the wire, so it won’t be damaged. Figure 24
20. Before you seal everything, go & test it on the car to make sure all went good
21. Apply epoxy that has good resistance at high temperatures to cover the leads

22. Apply epoxy on the tracks where the cover should be placed. Figure 29
23. Reassemble the ETM in place, It is recommended to replace the gasket with a
new one, when fitting the ETM back. Figure 30
