stores anywhere! The field stone wall that once was the foundation
of the original hay barn on the Scripps Farm, built circa 1870, is
now the backdrop for many of the displays in their new Always
Christmas store. Besides the many other stores, Yates Cider Mill’s
second location is now located inside the village. Lunch at the CPub is included in the trip. Entrée choice are: 1.) C-Pub Burger

Be careful what you fish for…
Earl Hobbs doesn’t like people. He likes fish
and has been fishing Michigan’s lakes all his life. Alone with his
secrets, he continues this tradition in a little private fishing hole by
his house. Until one summer night he reels in something that
leaves him speechless. He researches what this mysterious creature in his fish tank may be, catching the attention of DNR agent,
Eden Selkirk. Will these two loners discover they have more in
common than just the fish, or will this mysterious aquatic menace
threaten her job and disrupt his fishing hole forever?
Prior to the play we will have lunch at Tiramisu in
Northville. You will choose one of three entrees at
the restaurant. Bread, soup or salad, choice of soft
drink, coffee or tea and dessert are included.
We will also have time to shop
around town between lunch and
the show. There a quite a few
shops on Main Street including
Great Harvest Bread Company, a
chocolate shop, a boutique and a garden store.

Travel with us as we head to Franklin Cider Mill. The Mill is a one-of
-a-kind living piece of history, which has been open since 1837, the
same year in which Michigan gained its statehood! You will have
time to shop for their fresh pressed cider, donuts, candy apples,
jams, baked goods and more!
After our stop at the Mill we will head to Farmington to do a little
shopping on Grand River. After shopping on our own, we will enjoy
lunch at an area restaurant. Once lunch is complete our last stop is
at the Governor Warner Mansion. The mansion is decorated to look
like a stately home would in the second half of the 19th Century and
the first decade of the 20th. On our tour, the docents will point out
items like the central staircase in the hall, the 214-year-old brass
chandelier and the Civil War-era Victorian sideboard in the drawing
room.

Thirty four years ago, Gayle's Chocolates was one saucepan on
one stove in Huntington Woods, Michigan. It all started when Gayle
wanted to find an intensely rich piece of chocolate. She couldn't
find what she was looking for in any store and decided to make
them herself. She wasn't planning on starting a business, but the
rest is history. Still made by hand in small batches today, Gayle has
taken her talents to her shop in Royal Oak, Michigan. With over
4,000 designs, if you can think of it, they can make it. We will enjoy
a chocolate demonstration, the elements of different chocolates
with wine pairing recommendations and best of all- samples!
After our taste tempting trip to Gayle’s we will travel to Blackfinn
Ameripub where we will enjoy lunch. You will choose from a limited
menu at the restaurant. Non-alcoholic beverage and a cookie for
dessert are included.
After lunch we will spend some time shopping around Royal Oak.
There are many stores nearby ranging from antiques to bakeries to
specialty artifacts.

Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that
is practiced sitting in a chair, or standing
using a chair for support. The chair replaces the yoga mat and becomes an extension of your body allowing you to take full advantage
of yoga’s amazing fitness and health potential. Participants will learn
many kinds of yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and
ways of relaxation. Some benefits from yoga include more flexibility,
energy, better circulation, and improved moods. Classes are taught
by certified yoga instructors.
