All dancers are invited to participate in the Massed Fling during the opening ceremonies at approximately 12:45 PM.
Afternoon events to follow ASAP after opening ceremonies.

All entries will be confirmed via email; a valid email address MUST be listed.
Online entries close: August 15, 2015. Mailed entries must be postmarked by: August 3, 2015
Late mailed entries must be postmarked no later than August 10, 2015 & accompanied by $20 late fee per dancer.

Competition governed by rules of the SOBHD.
Classes will be split according to age after receipt of all entries. The Competition
Committee reserves the right to combine, split or delete classes at close of entries.
Competitor’s age on registration form is to be taken as of August 29, 2015.
“Special” dances do not count towards the aggregate points.
Competitors must be registered with ScotDance Canada and must present registration
card for awards to be received. $5.00 penalty for no card or invalid card. Awards will
be withheld until card is provided. If card has not been received within 10 days of
competition date, awards will be forfeited.
ONLINE ENTRIES ARE PREFERRED. Mailed entries must be postmarked by August 3/15.
Late mailed entries will be accepted only if postmarked on or before August 10, 2015
and accompanied by a $20.00 late fee per dancer.
If mailing entry, payment must be made via cheque or money order payable to
H.R.H.G.A. Cheques returned for any reason will be subject to an additional fee of
$25.00. Post-dated cheques will not be accepted; entry will not be processed until a
replacement cheque is received.
NO REFUNDS FOR ENTRY FEES for any reason.
Entries must be mailed individually except where there is more than one dancer in a
family.
Please notify the registrar immediately at [email protected] of status change. Status
changes will NOT be accepted on the day of competition.
Competitors must be attired according to SOBHD rules. Pre-premier dancers may wear
tartan skirt, white blouse and knee socks.
Competitors must dance in proper numerical order or forfeit their right to dance. Last
entry received will be the first competitor to dance.
Cash prizes will be awarded in all Premier 16 and over classes.
Decision of the judge is final. No persons other than the Foothills Highland Games
Committee shall communicate with a judge concerning an event, competitor, or the
results of any competitor. Any complaint must be made in writing and accompanied by
a $20.00 fee. If complaint is sustained, the fee will be refunded.
Competitors must be in full costume to receive awards.
Dancers will be expected to fill in for reels where necessary.
