Food For Greater Elgin is a regional Client Choice Food Pantry that serves
low income residents in Elgin, South Elgin, and East Dundee. Through the
innovative Client Choice approach, we provide food assistance to more than
1,200 families monthly feeding almost 6,000 individuals... of whom nearly half
are children. Families are able to shop with grocery carts choosing nutritious
food items rather than receiving pre bagged groceries. More dignity, less food
waste! Our Community Resource Center within our facility connects clients
with other social services for resources beyond food.
