DIRECTOR GENERAL
DEPARTMENT OF POLYTECHNIC
EDUCATION
Partnering
Industries,
Engaging
Employers Motto is hoped and
expected to increase the level of
collaboration between the industries
and Malaysia Polytechnics. As
mentioned by the Second Education
Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh while
officiating the Partnering Industries,
Engaging
Employers
program
recently, deeper involvement of the
industrial sector could boost the
marketability among polytechnic
graduates. The ministry wants to
perceive the industrial sector to play
a bigger role in education at the
polytechnics, by helping to look into
the curriculum and teaching methods
in Polytechnics. The government
also wishes industries to be a serious
partner in involving themselves in
the teaching and learning process
at polytechnics. It is our hope in
Department of Polytechnic Education
that our students know what to do
as soon as they start working as we
are much aware that the technical
and vocational education currently is
very important in spurring national
economic development and in
meeting the high market demand
for workers with technical skills. Last
but not least, we hope that deep
relations between polytechnics and
their industrial partners will produce
students who are fully prepared to
enter the employment sector.
