Sergey Krutikov, the Ukrainian gentleman juggler extraordinaire, can juggle and balance in ways that
seem physically impossible! With over 30 years of experience including the Russian circus and
variety venues all of the world, Krutikov's performances are incredibly unique and he is rated as one
of the best Jugglers in the world.
Born in 1954, Sergey Krutikov began his training at the age of 18, under the old Soviet circus
academia system in Kiev. This very demanding program consisted of: juggling, acrobatics, acting,
ballet and many other circus techniques.
Upon graduating from the Kiev circus academy in 1979 he was selected to join the world famous
Moscow Circus. With this distinguished troupe he performed primarily as an artistic juggler and
toured all around Russia. In 1982, he was awarded the Grand Prix of Circus at the Circus Festival in
Moscow for his outstanding skill. In 1983, he won the Grand Prize at the Ukraine Arts Festival and
was named "Artist Laureate" by the minister of culture. For this award, he competed with artists from
all disciplines in Russia. After winning these awards Krutikov was invited to become a long-term
performer at the Kiev music Hall, a variety theater troupe affiliated with the Russian circus. With the
Kiev troupe he performed nightly in Kiev and also toured all of the major cities in Russia and many
European countries, including Holland, Germany, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Great Britain, Portugal,
and Cyprus.
As an independent performer with amazing skill and high-level artistry Krutikov was in demand in
major variety, magic, and theater venues around Europe, Russia and Ukraine for the following two
decades. In December 1998, following performances at a magic convention in London, Krutikov was
invited to make his American debut in "Teatro ZinZanni" in Seattle. Krutikov performed throughout
the three-hour show in several roles, whirling, twirling, and juggling umbrellas, cigars, gloves and
hats within inches of the surrounding diners.
In 1999, Krutikov was the only Juggler to be invited to the prestigious World Magic Seminar in Las
Vegas where he enjoyed a fantastic success and a standing ovation. The organizers proclaimed that
Krutikov's presence at this event added to its reputation for innovative presentation. On July 1st 1999
Krutikov was invited to perform at the International Stars Magic Show and at the Brotherhood of
Magicians Annual Convention in Little Rock, Arkansas. Following this success he later performed at
the Bumbershoot Arts Festival in Seattle.
In 2000 he was invited to the Blackpool Magician Convention in the United Kingdom with some of the
greatest magicians in the world. Later that year he was the headline act in Portland for the
International Juggler Association Festival.
In 2001 Krutikov moved to the USA where he thrilled audiences in Teatro ZinZanni, in both San
Francisco and Seattle. To this date he is still performing in Teatro ZinZanni productions on a regular
basis. Between these shows in the USA Krutikov has appeared in the show "Balloon" in Dusseldorf,
Germany under the Direction of Oleg Izossimov and performs on a regular basis in the Palazzo
Spiegel tent dinner shows in Munich, Amsterdam, Vienna and Rotterdam. At the present moment he
