Grayson is becoming known as a city that brings the best music to our Community Park ... making
Grayson a destination for those who love music of all genres performed by the very best artists in the
Southeast. Now in its sixth year, the Grayson Blues & Brews Craft Beer Festival was voted as among
Gwinnett’s favorite festivals in 2014. This year, we’ll build upon that legacy with our tradition of
providing quality entertainment with the much-requested return of Tinsley Ellis to the stage on Saturday,
October 24th. Tommy Talton will be taking the stage at 2 p.m. to start the day off right! We can’t wait to
share this phenomenal musical line-up!
The 2015 Grayson Blues & Brews Craft Beer Festival is presented by Georgia’s own
Jailhouse Brewing. and will include an unprecedented line-up of local and regional
craft beers along with some of Grayson’s favorite brews. Festival goers will get an
opportunity to taste and compare around 150 truly special offerings throughout the day.
MUSIC
At the 2014 Blues & Brews, Southern bluesrocker TINSLEY ELLIS took Grayson by storm!
In the days after the festival, phone calls and
e-mails began coming in requesting that we
“bring Tinsley back!” So we have.
Though Tinsley Ellis may speak no evil, he sings
and plays with the conviction of, as Billboard
wrote, “...a man possessed.” Over the course
of eleven albums and literally thousands of
live performances, Ellis easily ranks as one of
today’s most electrifying blues-rock guitarists
and vocalists. He approaches his music with
rock power and blues feeling steeped in Deep
South traditions. Atlanta Magazine declared
Ellis “the most significant blues artist to
emerge from Atlanta since Blind Willie McTell.”
Tinsley always digs deep and plays,
as Guitar Player says, “…as if his life
depended on it.”
In June, Grayson was treated to the artistry of
Tommy Talton, one of the best songwriters
and guitarists of our time. What a treat! And
now he’s BACK ... opening for Tinsley Ellis with
music starting around 2 p.m. He is a founding
member of Capricorn Records group Cowboy
and has toured with the Allman Brothers,
Bonnie Bramlett, Martin Mull, Dickey Betts,
Clarence Carter and Kitty Wells. As a wordsmith, his lyrics are as timeless
as the melodies he creates. As a guitarist he has an exquisite sound that
fits like a glove with his arranging sensibilities.

brewers. The Grayson Blues & Brews
Craft Beer Festival has grown each
year and we expect around 12001500 people to help us “occupy the
park” on October 24th as they enjoy
a beautiful autumn afternoon with
fellow enthusiasts. We’re proud
that we were selected as among the Best of
Gwinnett Festivals for 2014.
This year, Grayson Blues & Brews presented by
Jailhouse Brewing Company of Hampton, Georgia.
The brewery was founded in 2008 and you’ll recognize
some of their brands, or “Usual Suspects”: Slammer
Wheat, Misdemeanor Ale, Mugshot IPA, Conjugal
Visit, Breakout Stout, and Ditchdigger Brown.
We can’t wait to introduce these outstanding brews
along with the more than 100 other offerings from
different brewers from our region.
Grayson Blues & Brews is a 21 and over event with
food provided by local restauranteurs who enjoy being
part of the festivities.

which provides assistance to those with needs right in
our community as well as Main Street Grayson, who
organizes all the great events and activities in Grayson.
Grayson Children’s Fund
The Grayson Children’s Fund makes a huge difference to families in Grayson. The GCF began in 2005 and
has served over 500 Grayson youth with anonymous Christmas gifts and back to school supplies, as well as
providing for families in need in our community.
Administered by volunteers, 100% of all donations and fundraising are spent on the children and families.
