Dear Santa,
This year The Pantry of
Broward has been very good,
trying to serve over 500 clients
and grandchildren. All we are
asking for are a few things to
enrich the lives of our clients.
Listed below is what we really, really need....
1. Deliver Nutrition - Whether it's cleaning out your
cupboards, organizing a food drive or contributing to a
virtual food drive. Ever bit helps to keep our shelves full.
2. Pitch In - Nothing is more valuable than time. Volunteer
your time or talents and make a great difference in your
community.
3. Help Seniors - Make a financial donation. Making a
financial donation allows The Pantry of Broward to not only
support our clients but also keep our lights on to help more
seniors in need.

"Dancing with the Stars of Broward" Sneak-Peek
"Dancing with the Stars of Broward" Sneak-Peek
Las Olas icon, Zola Keller, opened her shop to The Pantry of
Broward for the spectacular Christmas on Las Olas 2009.
Dr. Willis Dickens, "Dancing with the Stars of Broward"
dancer (2009), dazzled the crowd with his fancy foot work.
It was a fun-filled evening of music, dancing and a little
holiday magic. If this sneak-peek is any indicator this next
year's "Dancing with the Stars of Broward" is going to be the
event of the year!

In the Spirit of Giving
Miss Margot, 89, was a devoted
military spouse and a faithful
Macy's employee for over 20 years.
After the death of her US Coast
Guard husband 26 years ago,she
has been surviving the best she
can. Residing in a small house with
her loyal companions, Nicole the
cockerpoo and two cats, she
became overwhelmed with the
mounting cost of living she was
facing. Barely surviving off a small
monthly social security check, Miss Margot was forced to sell
monthly social security check, Miss Margot was forced to sell
all her most valued jewelry - much given to her by her late
husband - to the local pawn shop to help pay her monthly
bills. Thankfully, she contacted The Pantry of Broward
and reached out for help. Ursula Williams, our case
manager, jumped into action. Miss Margot has received not
only a balanced nutritious food box but also financial
counseling, medical care, much needed home repairs and a
lot of TLC.
It takes our complete community to support, serve and share
with these seniors in need. We certainly appreciate all your
efforts in helping us achieve this dream.
Please contact us with your feedback
and/or questions and please forward this
email to your family, friends and
colleagues. Thank you for being a friend
of The Pantry of Broward. We appreciate
you and wish you a happy and healthy
holiday.
