BOAT RACING
The history of powerboat racing in the Northwest draws a
colorful picture. Legends like Ron Musson, Bill Muncey, and
Chip Hanauer started their careers right here in Region 10
limited boat racing. Northwest Region 10 has always been a
stepping stone for the champions of the unlimited ranks.
As the name implies, these racing craft must conform to very
strict rules. Each class is restricted to size of engine, type of
fuel, length and weight. By equalizing, as much as possible,
the boats and engines, emphasis is placed on good driving
and expert maintenance of equipment.

close, talk to the racing teams and drivers, and
enjoy the races from the best viewing section
on the lake with a purchase of a Spectator Pit
pass for only $5. Kids under 10 are free with
a paid adult. Those that are 21 can access our
Lakeside Beer Garden that is also accessible
from general beach viewing.
