St. Vincent de Paul Society will offer
an Open Pantry. Number distribution
will begin at 9:00 a.m. and food will be

Lectors’ update
We need to update our lectors’ parish training for
2011. The date is January 30 after the 10:30 a.m.
Mass in the Church.
Our Parish will celebrate the feast of
St. Thomas Aquinas on Sunday
January 23rd with a pancake
Breakfast. Ed Kurtenbach and chefs of
the parish will be making breakfast for
us. The parish will be hosting the breakfast but
donations will be accepted to help Family-to-Family
and St. Vincent de Paul Society. Please mark your
calendar and plan on celebrating St. Thomas’ feast day
with our parish community at the pancake breakfast.
Priests are Away for Chapter
Meetings
The Augustinians will be in Winter meetings in
San Diego on Tuesday & Wednesday. Mass will
not be celebrated on these two days but there
will be a Communion Service at 6:30 a.m. and
9:00 a.m.
Please remember to include our priests in your
prayers this week.
Bereavement Ministry
The Bereavement Ministry Committee members will be
meeting on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Library.
Please join us for prayers and a business meeting.
St. Thomas Aquinas Dinner
Save the date! There will be a fabulous Italian
dinner celebration dinner in honor of our patron saint
on Sunday, January 30 from 5pm- 8 pm. (catered by
Ellen Shrwood's La piu bella tabla)
This will also be a fundraiser for Family to Family.

Carta a la Comunidad
Desde el Escritorio del

Es el Bautismo una llamada o
invitación permanente?
Sí lo es. Es una constante llamada a vivir en
una cercana intimidad con el Señor que siempre nos espera. Sin embargo muchas personas
prefieren buscar la puerta de atrás, porque
Dios nos llama a crecer en gracia y buscar la
santidad, generosidad, servicio que abarque a
la comunidad, para que nuestra vida de discípulos sea completa. Nosotros recibimos la
gracia de aceptar continuamente la invitación
por medio de la recepción de confirmación y
la eucaristía. Esto es el fundamento o la base
de darse uno mismo que es la fuente de nuestra invitación a vivir nuestro bautismo. Aceptemos esta invitación como parroquia, aceptemos esta invitación sin temor, ahora que comienza el 2011.
