Internationally known Christian psychologist, award-winning author and
New York Times best-selling author of "Have a New Kid by Friday," radio
and television personality, and speaker, Dr. Kevin Leman has taught and
entertained audiences worldwide with his wit and common sense
psychology.
We are so excited to welcome Dr. Leman to First Baptist Simpsonville
Sunday & Monday, March 2-3, 2014.
Dr. Leman will be speaking as follows at our Downtown Campus location:
• Sunday, March 2- 8:45, 10:00 & 11:15am - "The Way of the Wise"
• Sunday evening, March 2- 6:30-8:00pm- "Making Sense of the Man or Woman in Your Life"
• Monday morning, March 3- 9:30-11:00am- this is a special session open to all moms- "What a
Difference a Mom Makes"
• Monday evening, March 3- 7:00-8:30pm- "Parenting Your Powerful Child"

Childcare is $5 per child at a cost limit of $15 per session (i.e., if you have 3 or more children, and need
childcare for them each session, it would be $15/per session- $45 total). To register for childcare, or to

Women’s Brunch: The Start of a New Women’s Ministry!
On Saturday, March 8, we will be launching a new Women’s Ministry focused on Women Empowering
Women. We will meet at 9am in the MPAC building at our Downtown Campus. We will have a special
guest speaker, Esther Burroughs. Esther has served on the Home Mission Board, now known as the North
American Mission Board, and currently serves as the Director of Esther Burroughs Ministries...Treasures
of the Heart, a speaking and writing ministry. To register for the event, and learn more information, please

what God will do through this important ministry, and welcome all women to be a part of this important
day!

THIS Sunday, February 23, from 5-7pm, we will have a Community Interest Meeting to learn more about
fostering, adopting and mentoring. This will be a wonderful opportunity to hear an overview from local
agencies and obtain more information in breakout sessions. Please call the Church Office to sign up!
Are you thinking that this year will be THE year that you go on a mission trip? Are you interested in learning
more? Please plan to attend one of our 2014 Mission Trips Interest Meetings, either on Sunday, February 23, at
5:30pm OR on Wednesday, February 26, at 7:30pm. Both meetings will take place in the Chapel.

Hymn Sing– Our next Hymn Sing is THIS Sunday, February 23, at 6:30pm, in the Chapel. Our theme
for this evening’s worship is to ‘Make a Joyful Noise.’ This evening will be devoted to the grand old
hymns of the faith! Everyone, of all ages, is welcome to come and enjoy a wonderful evening of praise!
The First Baptist Simpsonville Child Enrichment Center is currently enrolling for the 2014/15 school
year. Enrollment for church members is going on NOW through February 28! Please stop by the
