Where is Angers?
Angers is located in the Loire Valley in Western France on the river Maine. www.angers.fr
When do I need to be there?
The conference will begin at 09h00 sharp on Thursday 25 June. It will end around 14h00 on Friday 26 June.
Getting to Angers
By air
Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport (Roissy)
(Roissy) [IATA: CDG]
CDG] is served by most national and international airlines.
Travellers may decide to take a train direct from the airport to Angers or change in Paris, depending on their arrival time.
Paris Orly [ORY]
ORY] is served by a number of national and international airlines including low-cost airlines. Travellers may decide
to take a train from Massy Palaiseau or Paris Montparnasse.
The regional Nantes Atlantique airport [NTE]
NTE] is served by a number of national and international airlines, including Air France,
Easyjet, Ryanair, Aer Arann, Iberia and Atlas Blue. From Nantes Atlantique airport take the shuttle bus to the Nantes city
centre (shuttle every 20 minutes, travel times, 20 minutes, 6.20 €), then the TGV to Angers (TGV travel time 30 minutes).

ANE] only has flights from London City [LCY], Toulouse [TLS] and Nice [NCE]. There should be free shuttle
buses upon arrival of your flight to Angers’s main train station (Angers Saint-Laud).
Getting to Angers
By train

There are trains to Angers directly from Charles de Gaulle airport, Paris-Montparnasse, Massy-Palaiseau & Nantes. Angers is
also connected to Lille (if you take the Eurostar) and other major French cities.
Paris-Montparnasse train station can be reached:
– for travellers arriving by Eurostar at Paris-Gare du Nord by Metro line 4 direction “PORTE D'ORLÉANS” (c. 25 minutes)
– for travellers arriving at Paris-Charles de Gaulle’s airport (Roissy)
• by the hourly Air France shuttle bus (13€, travel time approx. 50 minutes) or
• by RER line B to “CHÂTELET-LES HALLES”, then change to Metro line 4 direction “PORTE D'ORLÉANS”(travel time c.50 min)
– for travellers arriving at Paris-Orly airport
• by the Air France shuttle bus (every 30 minutes, 8 euros, travel time approx. 35 minutes) or
• by Orlyval then RER line B to “CHÂTELET-LES HALLES”, then Metro line 4 direction “PORTE D'ORLÉANS”(travel time c.50
min)
If you take the Eurostar (tickets bookable four months maximum in advance):
– Through-tickets are available from several cities (in the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands, plus Cologne and Aachen in
Germany), directly to Angers, and may work out cheaper.
– Tickets may be via Paris (change stations as above) or via Lille (no need to change stations). The Lille route usually takes
approximately 30 minutes longer.

By Bus
ESSCA can be reached using bus line 1, 4, 6 or 14. It takes approximately 20 minutes by bus from town centre/train station.
