THE FIFTH ANCHOR RESTAURANT TENANT JOINS KROG STREET MARKET
ATLANTA: As the final touches are being made to Krog Street Market in preparation for its fall opening, Paces Properties
is excited to welcome Atlanta-based restaurateurs Greg Best and Regan Smith, as they have signed on as the fifth and
final anchor restaurant tenant. Although the restaurant’s concept has yet to be revealed, the full service location will
certainly offer food and drink in a comfortable manner, according to Best. Located across the market floor from Eli
Kirshtein’s The Luminary, this as–yet unnamed project will have direct access from the adjoining covered parking
structure, as well as from within the market itself. Though we cannot confirm the rumors about a Tiki bar or a jerky
shack, we know one thing to be certain – with the combined experience of Best and Smith, this highly-anticipated
restaurant is sure to compliment and further enhance the dynamic of Krog Street Market. This new concept is expected
to be open nights and weekends, with a carry-out option for weekday lunch.
The co-creators of KSM’s latest culinary installment have a rich history in the restaurant and hospitality business. As a
founding partner and head barkeep at Atlanta’s Holeman and Finch Public House, Best has garnered numerous accolades
including two consecutive nominations as both a James Beard Awards Outstanding Bar Program semifinalist and finalist.
With his innovative cocktail recipes and forward thinking, Best is most notably recognized as igniting the craft cocktail
movement to Atlanta. His talents have led him to become a contributing writer at The Local Palate, and has also landed
him in prominent publications like The PDT Cocktail Book and Mr. Boston Official Bartender’s Guide.
Smith embarked on a career path that took her across the country, cultivating skills in a variety of hospitality outlets
including Specialty Markets, Country Club Banquets and Events management, and at Emeril Lagasse’s Restaurant Group.
Regan partnered with former co-workers Greg Best, Andy Minchow and Linton and Gina Hopkins in 2008 to create
Holeman and Finch Public House. Smith served as General Manager and Branding Coordinator. Her keen eye and
experience in operations have been fundamental to the continuing image of Holeman and Finch Public House, H&F
Bread Co., and H&F Bottle Shop as well as the national identity of those businesses.
“We are thrilled that Greg Best and Regan Smith have chosen Krog Street Market as the home of their first restaurant
venture together,” said Lily Heimburger of SRS Real Estate Partners. “Getting to know each tenant and watching KSM
grow stall by stall has been a wonderful and rewarding experience. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this project.”
When asked about the draw of Krog Street Market, Best and Smith had this to say, “Following our year-long vision quest
around the South, we came back to the fact that what charges us up is not concept driven, but the simple fact of being
close to the folks we respect and are fortunate enough to call our peers. Too many of our friends were going to be at
Krog Street Market! We decided that we wanted to join the party, and a party always needs more ice, snacks and
beverages.”

LET’S GO TO THE MARKET
A NEW RESTAURANT, GIFT SHOP AND SWEET SPOT JOIN THE STALLS AT KROG STREET MARKET
ATLANTA: Summer is in full swing and Krog Street Market is opening their doors in less than two months. With the grand opening just around the
corner Paces Properties is eager to introduce the three newest market stalls – including a restaurant, a gift shop and a sweet treat. Adding to the
restaurant roster is Yalla – a contemporary Middle Eastern eatery that shares ownership with its market neighbor, Fred’s Meat & Bread. With a
line-up of food-driven stalls, Mama Bath + Body will be a refreshing element to the market providing a line of all-natural lotions, soaps and more.
Rounding out the latest tenants is a stall that is sure to satisfy the sweet tooth, enter Xocolatl – a micro chocolate factory.
Being the epicenter for distinguished chefs and entrepreneurs, KSM stands out in Atlanta by continuing to grow with diverse, delicious, and home
grown tenants. “We are more than pleased with our group of market stalls and restaurants” said Patrick Wilson of Paces Properties. “With each
addition we are able to offer more locally-sourced goods and unique culinary experiences to our visitors, which is one of our main goals for the
Market.”
YALLA
Concept: Coming from the talented foursome behind Fred's Meat & Bread – Chef Todd Ginsberg, Shelley Sweet, and Ben and Jennifer Johnson –
Yalla will expand our cultural palate with a contemporary Middle Eastern food stall featuring shawarma and kebabs, falafel, fresh-baked pita and
laffa, and a variety of salads. Adding to the diverse group of restaurants housed at Krog Street, Yalla's meaning of "let's go" couldn't fit in more
with the Market's mentality.
Stats: 400 SF stall neighboring Fred’s Meat & Bread.
“I have always loved using great produce to create dishes with clean, layered flavors. This is a cuisine that lends itself wonderfully to that style and
that will complement the other great offerings at Krog Street.” – Chef Todd Ginsberg
MAMA BATH + BODY
Concept: Mama Bath + Body brings an element of beauty and gifts to Krog Street Market, featuring an all-natural line of handmade olive oil
soaps, body care products, and soy candles as well as gifts and cards. Mama Bath + Body will also provide a tester sink where customers can test
any product in the shop and indulge in the all-natural line of soaps and lotions. Whether one is looking for a gift or purchasing for themselves –
patrons can customize their own lotions and body oils at the DIY Bar with a variety of scents to choose from.

"Our stall's small footprint will allow us to focus exclusively on products and customer service and more specifically on consumer education, a big
component of the company's core mission.” – Emilie Sennebogen Bryant, Owner
XOCOLATL
Concept: Every market needs a micro chocolate factory and Xocolatl brings just that to Krog Street. Owners, Elaine Read and Matt Weyandt will
roast, crack, winnow, stone grind and temper onsite organic cacao ethically sourced from small scale growers in the Americas. Xocolatl will offer
handcrafted and hand wrapped artisanal chocolate bars including a one of kind line of vegan milk chocolate bars and flavors ranging from Dark
Chocolate Georgia Pecan and Ginger to Coconut Milk Chocolate and Jerk Spices. Chocolate lovers will be able to sample flavors at the Chocolate
Tasting Bar as well as watch the delicious process take place from crafting to wrapping.
Stats: 400 SF Market Stall
"This is our contribution to the craft food movement embraced here in Atlanta – while cacao can never be locally-sourced, our other ingredients
are local whenever possible and each micro-batch is thoughtfully cultivated to bring out the unique flavor profile of the bean and its flavor
pairings.” – Elaine Read and Matt Weyandt, Chocolate Roasters

A LOCAL FAVORITE SETS UP A WINE & BEER SHOP AT KROG STREET MARKET
WELCOME HOP CITY TO THE MARKET MIX!
ATLANTA: By this summer, Krog Street Market will have it all. Paces Properties is upping the ante with their latest
addition to their exclusive roster of tenants with a wine and beer shop from highly-acclaimed, Hop City. As a top
rated retailer of craft beer in Georgia and Alabama, Hop City will offer an eclectic and impressive collection of craft
beers, fine wines and even their famous growlers. KSM Visitors will have more than 1,000 options to choose from in
their new 2,400 sq. ft. location and if that’s not enough, Hop City will have an adjacent 750 sq. ft. bar for guests to
sit and sip while at the market.
“We couldn’t think of a better addition to help round out our impressive group of market stalls and tenants than
Hop City; they are great operators with a unique concept” said David Cochran, President of Paces Properties.
“Frequenters of Hop City will not only be able to shop for their favorite beverages, but will also be able to enjoy a
generous selection of craft beer, wine and cocktails at their market bar. We’re confident Hop City is that perfect
complement to Krog Street and we are proud to take part in the expansion of such a notable retailer.”
Adding a wine/beer retailer to the Krog Street Market tenant mix didn’t happen overnight and took the support of
the Inman Park Neighborhood Association as well as Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall over the past six months.
“All of us at Paces Properties as well as our KSM chefs and tenants felt it was essential to have a bottle shop at Krog
Street Market,” explained Cochran. “Inman Park bought in immediately and with Councilman Hall’s insight, guidance
and support we were able to navigate the legislative process with the City of Atlanta and bring this partnership with
Hop City to fruition.”
“The continued growth of Krog Street Market makes Inman Park a more neighborhood-centric and desirable area
for visitors and residents alike,” said Councilman Kwanza Hall. “I look forward to returning to Krog Street Market
this summer when it officially opens.”
KSM guests will also have access to Hop City’s in-house sommelier as well as access to the wines offered at market
restaurants. “One of the things we want to make possible is that moment when you try an incredible bottle of wine
with dinner and want a bottle to-go,” added Cochran. “Our guests will now just have to swing by Hop City on their
way out and pick up that incredible bottle of wine they had at dinner. Convenience and the experience are the key
underlying themes of KSM.”
"Hop City is thrilled to be a part of this talented collection of artisans in one of the most vibrant and intriguing
parts of in town Atlanta. We are excited to showcase the by-the-glass skills we have honed over the past year and
a half in Birmingham along with the continued curation of beer and wine for home consumption for which Atlanta
knows us today."
Whether you’re stocking up for your next gathering or meeting friends after work, Hop City will be a welcoming
destination for KSM visitors. Hop City is slated to open when Krog Street Market opens this Summer.

THE SPOTTED TROTTER TEAM EXPANDS WITH FIRST RESTAURANT AT KROG STREET MARKET
ATLANTA: Today Paces Properties announced that Chef Kevin Ouzts is ready to expand his Krog Street Market
footprint and has chosen the new market as the official home of The Cockentrice – an homage to what Ouzts calls
“New American Charcuterie.” The small, full service restaurant – think of it as a ‘Charcuterie Saloon’ he says – will
seat between 50 and 60 people and will focus, not surprisingly, on just about everything you can do with a piece of
meat.
“We love what is happening here at Krog Street Market especially with Kevin and Megan Ouzts,” said Paces
Properties Merritt Lancaster. “They announced their Spotted Trotter expansion, featuring a larger cheese and
butcher shop, with us back in July. With the recent excitement and buzz about the market, they have returned to
take their business to the next level with the opening of their first full restaurant.”
Chef Ouzts is no stranger to the Atlanta restaurant scene. In 2009 when Ouzts left Restaurant Eugene to flex his
culinary muscle in Napa, California, he hoped it would only be a matter of time before he could return to Atlanta
and open a restaurant to call his own. Upon his return in 2010, Ouzts launched The Spotted Trotter, a USDAcertified, critically acclaimed, boutique charcuterie, producing everything from beef jerky and delicious salamis to
rabbit liver pate and crepinettes. Now, with the success of The Spotted Trotter seemingly cemented by the
opening of a second, larger location and accompanying cheese shop at Krog Street Market, it looks like the time for
the restaurant has finally arrived.
"I couldn’t think of a better venue than Krog Street Market to open up our first restaurant. The atmosphere of the
entire complex is the celebration of local, and that’s been front and center for us all along. I cannot wait to
officially get back in the kitchen and highlight the South’s bounty of amazing ingredients and meats. Charcuterie is
an art form dating back more than 2500 years, and the South is just starting to dip its toe in the water. With the
combination of The Spotted Trotter and The Cockentrice, I hope to cement the region’s name in a genre where it
has been historically underrepresented," said Ouzts.
The Cockentrice will also feature a diverse, house-cocktail list, refreshing beers and ales, and a properly picked
wine list. The restaurant is slated to open late summer 2014 in a 2,752 square foot space with a patio facing Krog
Street and will be connected to The Spotted Trotter’s new, 800 square foot butcher and cheese shop market stalls.

manufacturing/warehouse facility into a vibrant and tasteful retail project. KSM will offer and feature lifestyle retail and
restaurant tenants situated around the first urban market of its kind in Atlanta. KSM in aggregate totals more than 35,000 SF of

assemblage of properties along Krog St., most notably, The Stove Works, a mixed-use project located at 112 Krog St., in October,
2012.
Construction of Krog Street Market commenced in June 2013. Paces will deliver individual suites to tenants for their interior
work this fall. KSM tenants are projected to be open for business late summer 2014.
