BAD RAP. For us, the term brings
to mind large-scale and ornate
furniture, textiles in dark blues
and reds, and religious paintings. Not that there’s anything
wrong with that. But for creative
director Jamie Laubhan-Oliver,
it was important to change the
definition. “I think it’s simply a creative mix of things you love from
all genres,” she says. “You can
mix African-inspired items with
midcentury, traditional, modern,
and tons of metals.” The trick is to
not create too many focal points.
“Be selective with your ‘Wow’
moments,” she says.
