the limit positions can be memorised
by means of manual programming
of the ascent and descent positions.
2. Semi-automatic mode: in the case
of shutters equipped with mechanical
stops only on ascent or anti-intrusion
springs only on descent.
The complete absence of constraints
in the sequence of programming
operations makes this procedure ideal
for meeting the diverse requirements
of production and installation.
For example, in the case of mechanical
stops on opening, the ascent travel limit
positions can be programmed quickly
in advance at the factory during
the assembly phase, after which the shutter
descent limit can be programmed simply
by means of a manual procedure
at the client’s premises.

1. Calculating the weight of the shutter
To calculate the weight of the shutter, multiply
the value in m2 of the surface area (base x height)
by the weight per m2 of the material used.
Nice provides this simple guide to establish:
• the ideal torque in Nm to manoeuvre
each individual automation in complete safety;
• the specific characteristics
of the tubular motors (diameter, type of stop
regulation, presence of control unit, radio receiver,
encoder, emergency override mechanism).

A “Multiple Group” is a set of various groups.
For example, at night or when no-one is at

The NiceWay Sensor measures the lighting
condition while ignoring peak values caused
for example by people’s shadows or rapidly
moving clouds.
The NiceWay Sensor is able to control
the opening of shutters and sun awnings
so as to maintain the level of sunlight or ambient
lighting within the desired limits. It automatically
sends closure commands if the light is too strong
or opening commands if the light is too weak.
The WMS01ST model can regulate ambient
temperature by controlling the movement
of the automation on the basis of the temperature
value measured in the room.

Wall or stand-on installation inside room:
the sensor positioned inside the room detects
the luminosity only on the front, therefore
considering the effective lighting including
artificial light. This allows it to give commands
when direct light arrives at or leaves the area
inside the room in which it is positioned.
The “Demo” mode converts the reaction time
from minutes as normally used into seconds
to obtain an immediate response from
the NiceWay Sensor during the configuration
and testing stages.

The required room temperature can be set
and maintained using the heat and light supplied
by the sun.
For example, in winter mode, if the temperature
falls below the set threshold and outside
it is sunny, the sensor automatically raises
the shutters or awnings, allowing the light
to enter to provide warmth, and vice-versa.

For instance, when the brightness exceeds
the maximum set threshold, the sensor lowers
the automations (awnings or shutters) until
the sensor is shaded. Once the sensor is
in the shade, the shutter rises until it is in the light
once more, enabling it to keep monitoring
the brightness level.
Thanks to the suction cup support, it can be stuck
on the window at a specific height.
The sensor detects the level of internal brightness,
compares it with the set brightness value
and automatically adjusts the shutter opening
or closing accordingly.

1. Solar: the time of sunrise and sunset changes
during the year: how is it possible to wake up always
with the same light in the room, lower the shutters
or roll up the awnings at sunset at the actual time
that the sun goes down, without having to reprogram
the event according to the changing seasons?
Planotime automatically regulates at the changing
time of sunrise and sunset by simply inserting
the latitude when you first program the unit!

7. Sun ON/OFF: enables/disables the sun
and rain sensor, allowing you to establish
which automations connected to the anemometer
should react to changes in the sunlight.

The O-View TT hand-held programmer
represents the state-of-the-art
in the programming of rolling shutter
and sun awning automation systems.
Automatically recognising the control unit
and thus the automation system to which
it is connected, it displays its typical parameters,
cutting out the device identification procedure
for the maximum speed and convenience.
Once connected, the O-View TT guides
the operator through setup of the installation
parameters: setting of the electronic limit
switches and motor run direction,
torque reduction setting, and memorisation
of the transmitters and the Nemo
and Volo radio control sensors.
The settings made appear
on the LCD screen for instantaneous
checking of the parameters set.
The graphic interface of the O-View TT,
with intuitive screens and context-responsive
menus, allows even absolute beginners
to programme the automation system,
with no specialist knowledge required.
The O-View TT allows the settings made
to be saved for future copying, meaning
there is no need to repeat the sequence
for subsequent automation systems,
ensuring accuracy and time-saving
especially on complex installations
with a large number of systems.

Programming software
1. Save the tubular motors and remote
controls data of every installation, allowing the original
motor settings to be re-set or the replacement of the remote
control if lost or broken without having to go to the client.
2. Connect a motor and view/modify the memorised
operational and radio command parameters;
the parameters of a motor can be easily copied and transferred
to another similar motor thereby making the replacement immediate
in the event of malfunction. Furthermore, it is possible
to send new pre-programmed transmitters to the
client having previously introduced the additional codes.
3. Connect a radio control device to re-program the code:
easy replacement if mislaid or broken.
Obtain and view a radio control code with the simple
push of a button close to the TTI.
4. Connect a wind, sun or rain sensor to control the type
and correct function with a graphic display of the measured values.
5. Manage a database with all details of clients
and the data of all installations completed.

The TTP palm-top device greatly simplifies
the management of automation systems
for rolling shutters and awnings, enabling
the user to programme these systems easily,
and memorise the choices made in order
to copy them without having to repeat
this sequence for each new automation.
The accurate, TTP palm-top device has
unbeatable time saving characteristics!
Easy, immediate programming of the:
• electronic limit switches;
• direction in which the motor rotates;
• Sun/Wind triggering levels;
• choice of the direction in which
the rain sensor moves;
• activation or deactivation of the sun sensor;
• enabling/exclusion of the torque reduction.
Easy management of the transmitters
• immediate insertion of a transmitter;
• cancellation of one or of all the transmitters;
• insertion of Volo S-Radio sensor.
It is simple to delete the memory
and reset the default configurations.
“Macro” function for copying what has been
programmed onto different motors.
Updating the firmware for future evolutions
