Management
Director Jerry Smith said his
staff will be doing much the
same as they do every year to
prepare for possible bad
weather.
“It only takes one storm to
ruin your year,” he said.
Officials at the National
Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration have predicted
an “above normal” 2007 hurricane season, with 13 to 17 possible named storms swirling
around the Atlantic. Florida is
a prime target for hurricane.
