Press Release
 Artist: V.A.
Title: Wilde Liebe
Label: WILDE Label
Release: 27-Jan-2014
Format: Digital
To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of WILDE, 16 artists from their roster have come together to
present a brand new compilation as diverse as it is cohesive – “Wilde Liebe” (Wild Love). From the
dark grooving sounds of Tim Xavier to Ian Pooley’s progressive tech-house number, the compilation
oscillates through an enviable spread of artists including The Jaydes, Tiefschwarz, Acid Washed, Kenny
Leaven and more, showcasing an unbounded pool of talent. This release also marks the launch of the
WILDE Label in 2014, which is set to release quarterly EP’s from their roster of artists.
One of the definitions for “Wilde” within the English dictionary is “an independent way of living.”
WILDE have always stayed true to their name by remaining open, flexible, and giving space to new
influences and love.
“Wilde” is also the nickname for the founder and chief Patricia Weil - born in Hilden, Düsseldorf and
now a fulltime Berliner, she started the agency back in October 2002. Her first contact with electronic
music was thirteen years ago in 1989, when Techno arrived in Düsseldorf (Tor 3, Ratinger Hof) as well
as in Cologne (Warehouse & Pollerwiesen) and later on in Neuss (Tribehouse). She first experienced
the booking-business by touring with her ex-boyfriend Sven Väth. As a natural process she met DJs,
musicians and promoters, and learnt the essentials to bookings such as writing contracts and knowing
what a DJ needs whilst he’s traveling. “I realised pretty quickly that the job of a good agency is to keep
the stress-level of the artist as low as possible while keeping up the level of comfort as high as possible.”
As with all bookings agencies the journey never ends with just the music. The live show is where the
fans really get to experience the music first hand, so unsurprisingly an impressive showcase of talent is
booked for the coming months. From Fabric in London (DJ T., Bloody Mary, Daniel Wilde Live), to
Rave on Snow in Austria (Tiefschwarz Basti, Amè, Chris Wood & Meat & Ruede Hagelstein), back to
Frankfurt and Hamburg in Germany we start to get a picture of the true international spread of joy for
live music that Wilde enables.
However, looking forward to the next show overlooks the wake of phenomenal parties Wilde have put
on this year. Cast your mind back to Bloc, Barcelona with (Ian Pooley, Hot Since 82, Noir, Daniel
Wilde Live, Daniel Dexter, Nelja/ Visual Art & Philip Bader), to Watergate, Berlin (Tiefschwarz,
Audiofly, DJ T., Pilocka Krach Live, Chris Wood & Meat, Djuma Soundsystem), Boat @ Beats & Boats
(Dia, Atapy, Tiefschwarz Ali, Philip Bader & Maher Daniel), Wilde @ Nazomeren Festival and
Westerunie (Amsterdam). WILDE also has a much wider spectrum of artists than just musicians and djs
having branched out into visual art (Nelja), tape art (Klebebande) and performing arts (Bella Berlin).
The best parties are often a fleeting moment of fun, leaving you with hazy and fond memories that
remain in the back of your mind. Fortunately, Wilde’s remarkable back-catalogue of parties can be
commemorated in time with this outstanding compilation album, to truly give Wilde the appreciation
they deserve.
