The Winsted outdoor lighting contest will be judged by residents of St. Mary’s
Care Center, along with members of the Winsted Chamber. To participate, turn
on the lights to your holiday display Wednesday evening by 5:30 p.m. First
place wins $100; second place,
$75; and third place, $50 in Winsted Bucks.

The Winsted Business Lighting Contest will be judged by the community.
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ruben Duran will be available to take photos. Face painting,
sand candy, and hair feathers will be available from What’s Next Art Studio.
Hay wagon rides, sponsored by Fleischacker Landscaping and Carlson Apple
Orchard will leave from the Blue Note Ballroom from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Winsted Royalty will serve food at the Blue Note Ballroom from
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Barbecue, chips, and pickles; or hotdog, will be available.
A coloring contest will be provided by the Winsted Chamber, and the Winsted
Arts Council will have a make-and-take project.

Holy Trinity CCW will offer a Dessert Social, Craft and Bake Sale from 11 a.m.
to 2 p.m. at the Blue Note Ballroom. Eat in or take-out: treats, desserts, and
coffee will be available. Come take a chance at the dollar game for all ages.

The fourth annual lighting of the Winsted Christmas tree and singing of
Houses during their regular business hours. For your holiday beverage
entertaining, Hussong’s Liquor will be hosting a wine and beer tasting from 4
to 7 p.m.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, Winsted will be hosting a Christmas Concert
Christmas Carols will take place before the lighted parade at 5:30 p.m. Join
the visiting royalty for caroling on the Lake Promenade, next to Mill Reserve
Park. Hot Chocolate will be for sale by the Holy Trinity Youth Group.

Crazi Coffee & Flowers will have extended hours until 7:30 p.m.
Friday Dec. 4 at 7:15 p.m. with Celebration of Christ Brass Quintet Concert,
including a carol sing-along. Refreshments will be served during intermission.

from 5:30 p.m.- 7 p.m.

Winsted starting at 6:30 p.m. Royalty and businesses from the surrounding
area are encouraged to participate. No pre-registration required. Participants
should line up near the Blue Note.
In honor of the years of dedication and hard work Marietta has given to the
McLeod County Food Shelf, please bring a non-perishable item to donate.
Lakes and Prairie Girl Scouts will be collecting donations during the parade.

The Winsted Library will be hosting the 17th Annual Silent Auction Friday,
Dec. 4, 2 to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 5, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Bids will be
accepted Dec. 4, beginning at 2 p.m.; New and gently-used items are being
accepted. A portion of the proceeds raised will be divided among the Holy
Trinity, Winsted Elementary, and Lester Prairie Schools, to benefit their
libraries and accelerated reading programs. Matching funds generously
provided by Thrivent Financial.
