Pre-Design and Funding Options
Benefit: Substantial income tax and rebate incentives to offset this capital
investment for your dealership, through asset management.
This will bring solutions to enhance the merchandising elements of your dealership and funding options to shorten your investment payback. Focusing on energy and a quality design, Blair Companies and Philips Lighting (Blair/Philips) have prepared a Comprehensive Lighting System Upgrade Program to meet the important architectural, visual, and merchandising requirements of the Design Intent Document (DID). This program includes a unique turnkey approach to renovate your facility and incorporate all the tax and rebate incentives to assist in funding this project. Many owners will qualify for federal and state tax incentives along with rebates from the local utility company. Generally, owners can fund 50‐ 100% of this investment when applying this tax centric program – a unique tax strategy that can generate tens of thousands of dollars. To validate and quantify the tax and rebate incentives we will communicate with your accountant and the CPA for the Blair Philips program. Blair will prepare an estimate of benefits showing immediate cash flow and available dollars to fund this program. Your business may recover the investment costs in the first year. However, you must act quickly as all the incentives must be identified before the renovation begins. The process is simple. Chevrolet Lighting Program
Lighting is an amplifier of good retail design and a critical component of visual merchandising.
The customer connection made with a good lighting plan can influence emotion and enhance
the car buying experience through a Dealership while driving more new car sales.
Lighting for the Chevrolet program is provided through a national account managed by
Wiedenbach Brown Inc. WB has worked with General Motors to develop a high performance
cost effective lighting package for the Dealer that enhances the Chevrolet customer
experience with maximum energy savings through operating efficiency.

Next Steps for the Dealers Architect: Send WB the reflected ceiling plan, floor plan and site plan in DWG file format. WB
will develop a project specific lighting design for the site and interior of each project. The final lighting plan delivered will
be engineered to meet the prototypical design consisting of Chevrolet compliant lighting equipment specified by WB
and exclusively approved for the facility reimage program. WB has been retained by GM to provide these services for
each project and there is no fee to the Dealer or Dealers consultants.
Next Steps for the Dealers Electrical Engineer: The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the circuiting the WB lighting plan,
developing the emergency lighting (path of egress), circuiting, energy calculations, code compliance, and lighting
controls as required. All developed WB lighting plans, fixture specifications, technical information and pricing are the
property of WB to be used as “instruments of service” for the Chevrolet program only. The Engineer will receive from WB
a finalized lighting plan consisting of project specific lamp, ballast and fixture specifications engineered for the design.
Design substitutions or product alternates are not approved by Chevrolet for the program.
